Flood Confirmed (I believe)

If you look at the possible game rating on the bottom of the page, it says “blood and gore.” Halo’s always had blood, but the only enemies who had gore were the flood. I think this means there’s flood enemies in infinite (I hope). What do you guys think?

You’re talking about the rating at the bottom of every page on Waypoint? All that shows is the range of ratings for every Halo game ever (RP representing in-development games like Infinite). Since some past games have had “Blood and gore” in addition to just “blood”, that general rating for all the games specifically mentions it.

“Blood and gore” is not in reference to Halo Infinite specifically. No rating for Infinite has been created, therefore it is unknown if “gore” will be a feature in the game. Hence it cannot be used as proof that the Flood are returning.

Flood are pretty much confirmed with the logic plague theory. This was further referenced in one of the Halo lootcrates on a transcript between a prophet and ONI agents. He talks about seeing Cortana in pain before leaving High Charity and how the logic plague may have gotten to her and how it will be humanity’s downfall.

People really need to understand what “confirmed” actually means. The logic plague theory is just that, a theory, and it inherently cannot confirm anything, You mention the loot crate where Subject Denver talks about the logic plague, but whatever the other crates that also pin the blame on:

  1. Rampancy (Cortana kills Infinity’s AI named Aine in a rampant episode and shows no remorse afterward)
  2. Contact with a Covenant AI putting corrupted code in her (Halo: First Strike)
  3. Just inherently being distrustful (When she did not report she possessed the Alpha Halo activation index to anybody after Halo: Combat Evolved)
  4. The brain she was created from (The implication that Halsey is the next person to be interviewed in the loot crates)

The logic plague is hardly a sufficient explanation anyway.

The prophet heard a human AI in pain on High Charity, and surmised that it was because of the Flood. And when ONI asked him how the Flood could affect an AI, he told them about the logic plague. The prophet did not diagnose Cortana, and didn’t even see the interaction between her and the Gravemind. The prophet was just assuming.

And the “downfall” line wasn’t in reference to the logic plague specifically, but rather AI in general becoming more than humanity could control.

But, yeah, like I DR HALSEY I says above, theories do not “confirm” anything. If it’s a theory, it’s not canon.
