If anyone has played GOW3, you know of Beast mode, super fun game where you play as Locust.
I have an idea for something similar to that for Halo 4 for Custom games an MM.
Flood Mode
How this would work is like Infection where the “infected” and Flood forms. The rest are Humans or Elites (non-infected). The Flood have to latch onto the humans and infect them. During the infection period the Flood is invincible (like the Human is dead and during re-animation Humans can;t kill the Flood, once it is up, it can be killed.
More Flood skins will be unlocked via time progression:
Flood forms, pure Flood, Flood Human, Flood carrier, Flood Elite, Flood Jackal, Flood Brute.
All of which of course can be altered in custom games. The spawns, duration, and how powerful the Flood are. And of course you could all start as Flood humans OR you could even play hide and seek from a Large Flood “Tank” pure form.
I have wanted Flood to be incorporated some how in infection since Halo 3 and I want to hear your thoughts.
As waves progress the flood unlock puriforms and juggernauts, and turing boss waves you get a huge computer controlled horde to rush the spartans with you.
If you choose to play as the flood, you start off as an infection form, you die as easily as an infection form. Your role as the infection form you may ask is simple, infect your human or Elite enemies. When you infect your first opponent Flood daspersal pods shoot down on your side of the firefight map, along side those infection forms you will be able to summon carrier forms to spread the infection even farther. When you infect a human, or elite you gain a shield bar, and health bars. as your numbers dwindle other flood forms mixing with the previous forms brings in a more variety of a flood army. When in the infection form, you hold X to enter a human or elite body just like a vehicle, when you exit the body they become an flood AI control ally.
Just an idea, you shouldn’t be able to spawn as anything but Pure Forms. That way, whenever you see a Combat Form, you know it’s a person who got infected. Adds some atmosphere. It would be even better if the armour remained identifiable.
