I use a controller throughout matchmaking and every now and then I’ll load into a game and my reticle/aim feels “floaty”. I’m not sure if it’s ping based or if the game thinks I am using MnK. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

yes the aiming is kind of buggy. It is really inconsistent.

It’s all over the place, early today it was fine. Now it’s awful. And it’s late at night, so I assume it’s to do with ping. And since 343 won’t let you choose region you’re -Yoink!-

There’s a lot.of settings which if you can tweak to your sweet spot it feels really nice. I’m not sure why default felt so unintuitive to me, but I recommend going into training mode and playing around. I’m at a point now it could probably be slightly better but it feels pretty damn good and I’m hitting shots nicely.
It seems to be tied to connection, so the issue won’t be rectified until 343 grace us with a region lock.
(I think they forget North America =/ the entire world)
I also believe it’s mostly server related issues at the moment. Tune your settings in training mode and trust those to work.
I consistently hit >50% of my shots and if my aim is all over the place during a match I know it’s just bad luck with the server.
I believe the issues is with steam loading a different controller profile. I have get the same “bug” where a few games the aim is crisp then the it feels floaty and very sensitive
I have noticed when my steam loads the controller profile under my steam name it works perfect.
But the problem for me and I’m sure others is when it loads your controller as GAMEPAD. Thats when you get the floaty aim and it just feels horrible. Make sure you don’t alt tab out of them and when you open the game from steam you watch the bottom right corner and make sure it loads your steam name for the controller profile and not ganepad. This has worked for me
