Flinching while scoped in

You guys really need to kick back the flinching because it’s overwhelming and unfair.

Flinching has been in the games since the original though. It was to help balance precision weapons.

Pro tip: Shoot first

Keep their scope down so they can’t descope you

Better yet, no scope. Scoping in Infinite sucks anyway

But what he said’s correct though. Descoping was a design worked into the game, just as much as recharging shields are.

The reason being Halo is a Shielded Shooter which makes players much more resistant to damage -and death- than other shooters, and if Precision weapons are allowed to stay scoped, the game would devolve further and further into a peek-shooter with long drawn out fights because there is no way to descope and take the range advantage away from the cross-mapping player.

The only way to counteract this is to either:

  1. Learn how to “feel” your aim while unscoped
  2. Aim fast and fire fast

These are both techniques employed by high level players or pro players.

If all this doesn’t change your mind on the matter… maybe you should find another way to approach the game than just ADS all the time or scoping all the time.

It’s not exactly hard to descope people with hipfire though. Especially since they added these ridiculously bright glints to tell you exactly where to shoot.

Yeah, if only they didn’t have such stylized reticles that you either can’t see the enemy through it at range or you have to kinda guess where in the big open space your bullet will go. And they pretty much completely killed sniper noscopes with the random bullet bloom.

That and anti-aim assist on m&k. Who is the clown that decided to force the reticle away from the head on mouse? It’s annoying enough to snipe a moving target in the head without it pushing the reticle away. Makes me want to just use controller, but I can’t stand slow trash thumbstick aiming in Infinite. MCC thumbstick is way faster, and Destiny thumbstick aiming is easier. The aiming in general in Infinite feels like trash with every setting suggestion

Eh, I got used to that in Destiny 1, so it doesn’t bother me 8 years later. They could have Hardcore Ranked with no glint and no outline, but for casual play, I don’t care much. I don’t like the outlines though, and I wish they went with Destiny’s method of enemy nametags when you look towards them

I mean, I noscope 90% of the time so the glint mostly doesn’t bother me. It’s pretty much only annoying on snipers, where the light is so bright that you have to either guess where the head is in a sniper duel or get immediately descoped when using the sniper against pretty much anything else.

Essentially I would have no issues if they would just let me noscope people with the sniper without first making a blood sacrifice to rngesus. And the ability to customize the reticles would be nice too.

uh there is no flinching in this game. This isn’t Call of Duty
