For those who are picked for the flight sometime this week, it would be nice if they got their invite email a few hours before the server went live so they can download the game without losing playtime.
If this is the norm then you can ignore this post, I have never participated in a flight before, but I thought this would a neat idea if it hasn’t been brought up before.
Thank you.
I’d be dumbstruck if they launched the flight and invitation emails simultaneously; it’d be such a waste of time, resources, and sense. Especially considering how short flights might be, losing even 30 minutes to installation would hurt their feedback. Chances are we’ll get a heads-up hours to days before the flights go live.
They’ll definitely send them out early, there’d be no reason not to.
I would hope we get notified a day ahead of time a few hours still feels last minute
I guess the amount of data won’t be huge as the “flighters” are required to test small portions of the game, so it won’t be a problem if the notification mail defines the beginning of the flight…

That’s fair since the flight will be just the campaign mission that was shown at E3 just more polished might also be why they won’t be inviting that many people to the first flight cause there’s not much more data they would need in that instance

From the sounds of it this is mostly to test the distribution system to make sure the larger flights happen smoothly. So what’s in the build doesn’t matter, as long as they can get it out there properly.
