Flight feedback.

I’m going to report any bugs/issues to Halo support, but this is my feedback on other stuff.

AR is too good. It beats everything else at basically every range, but is also just inconsistent enough to feel -Yoink- to duel with. Combine that with general lack of auto-aim (which I like) and it’s just too good. Definitely needs to be toned down somehow. Overall I feel that the average encounter range is a hair too long. Lots of shooting at each other across the map so far, and as a controller user being outside of RRR for most fights feels really bad.

EDIT: I like the rest of the sandbox, and do want the AR to be the default starting weapon. I feel like a way to fix this would be to mess with the RRR for some weapons. Drag them out for some and reduce them for others. Sidekick feels very underpowered in general IMO.

UI. Feels cluttered and unintuitive. When selecting things, having “A” inspect and “X” equip feels backwards. Having to back out to the main menu to customize also doesn’t feel great. I understand having it there, but add it to the start screen as well.

Challenges as the only form of progression does not feel good. It doesn’t feel good to finish a game and get 0 progress on anything. I’m not saying that we need to get a level per game or anything, but 20 or 25xp on game completion would be drastically better.

I agree about the AR. I am getting cross mapped by the AR 90% of the time. Most people are using the AR over the sidekick, since the sidekick is terrible at mid to long ranges. Br starts would be better and encourage people not to cross map with the assault rifle.

Upon further thought, I think what this game is missing is a transitional progression system ON TOP of the battle pass. I think that a challenge only battle pass would feel fine if we were getting xp every game that tied into the generic progression system. Perfect example is MCC

Either way, I don’t think they’ll be able to implement that before launch, and it feels like a huge miss. Because getting literally nothing for completing a win sometimes feels horrible
