Flight Feedback

First off thank you all for your hard work! The game is shaping up really nicely!

Feedback:

  1. The outline system is overall just not great. Even after the first fight, I have a hard time telling when an enemy shields are popped. The flickering effect needs to be more apparent, or better yet PLEASE just let everyone have yellow shields again. If it ain’t broke…

  2. The aiming on controller feels very weird. It feels as if there is 0 aim assist, which makes going up against PC players even less enjoyable than it already is. I’ll already be opting out of crossplay if that is an option, but the aiming does not feel smooth. It feels almost too “jerky” and I have fiddled with my settings more than once

  3. The UI when going through the armor hall and unlocks is very confusing to navigate. Having a separate selection for Helmet attachments makes it hard to find. Vertical menus always are easier to read and process, horizontal ones just feel jumbled. Maybe look back at Reach for inspiration in this area

  4. BLOOD. Please can we have just the tiniest bit of blood splatter?? I’m not talking CE levels of frame rate-tanking blood splatter, but just a dash like 3 or Reach had. It has soooo much impact on the environmental storytelling of the game and makes the world feel “lived in” and believable if that makes sense. I’m sure daddy ESRB doesn’t care that much about a little blood on the floor, right? Gotta keep that sweet sweet T rating for those mtx’s!

  5. Player collision/ Friendly Fire. This has been a staple in Halo from the beginning and NEEDS to be there at launch. Without it, most games feel like grenade spamfests. At least before you had to think twice about sending a nade into that room of friendlies and enemies. Player collision also makes a huge impact on gameplay. Enemies can phase in and out of each other mid fight, making it really hard to track targets

  6. TTK. Time to kill feels a little too quick. The sidekick and AR just melt before I have time to react sometimes. Maybe buff the shield strength by 10 or so percent, or slightly nerf the starting weapons?

Overall I’m enjoying it leaps and bounds better than 5, but that’s not to say it’s perfect. I’m pretty sure none of these things will or can be changed much before launch, or if that someone will actually even read this, but it makes me feel better providing some sort of feedback since I never got a survey last time.

Keep up the hard work!
