Flaw with anti-Didact theory

Must people think that since the Didact symbol was turned upside down, it’s the anti-Didact. Just like when the cross of Christ is turned around you have the anti-Christ. There’s a big hole in this theory though. A big one made up of years of stolen symbols from people who were’t educated up the subject of an upside cross. The upside down cross is actually a symbol for St. Peter, because he was crucified upside down.

This could be 100% wrong. but…

It’s the same didact, just let off his leash…or maybe he’s on a much larger leash and tighter leash then he could imagine…just food for thought.

How is this related in any way to Halo?

> It’s the same didact, just let off his leash

This is what I was thinking. I suspect that the red glyph represents his unbound state.

talk about making up stories and somehow connecting it to halo 4. anyway what iv heard is that there are two didacts in halo 4.

> talk about making up stories and somehow connecting it to halo 4. anyway what iv heard is that there are two didacts in halo 4.

umm no there is only one Didact; if you read the forerunner books, you learn that the real Didact was “killed” and the main chartarter was trained by the didact to be him. sound weird but i will give the link.
its a bit of a read but it tells you the first book
and as for the plot about two of them no. but i got a feeling we wil see the the librarian in later games. also
its the librarian symble upside down.
Didact

“Without the Librarian to temper his rage…” 343 GS mentioning Didact’s power

“And I know where to find her.” - Chakas, flying towards Requiem

even if he decided to screw everything he believed in, why would he be evil, without a leash, if the Librarian is there to temper him?

that’s why I believe the Ancient Evil cannot be the Didact. because even if he randomly decided to ignore/disobey everything he believed in, why would he try to kill everything if the Librarian is tempering his rage?

Didact Symbol = Blue
Unknown Symbol = Red

Greg Bear hints at Two Didacts

No one said he was the ancient evil. He could be possibly be being controlled. and frankie already confirmed its the didacts symbol in the trailer.

then I better be given the best excuse ever told by man in the history of Humanity as to why the Didact is suddenly no longer the good guy!

or I will have to slap Frankie…

Controlled by precursors.flipping the symbol, switching sides to technically there most powerful enemy, unbound, unleashed.

DISAPPOINTED!!

Could the Red Symbol be Faber (Master Builder?)

I’m re-reading Cryptum now, but I don’t remember him being killed.

Precursors are a great ancient enemy o.O

Its pretty much confirmed its the didact not faber.Coughneogaffpost

I definitely know that LOL. I was posting the “DISAPPOINTED!!” because being controlled by Precursors, while making sense, just doesn’t seem to cut it for me. Didact being Ancient Evil because he’s being controlled just doesn’t sound “Ancient Evil” to me. Precursors? Yes. but a controlled person? no, disappointment.

No i mean the precursors ARE the ancient evil but the reason for the didact and his hostility is because he’s being controlled.

Precursors? with an “s” at the end as in plural? it’s stated many times AN Ancient Evil Awakens. that’s just one. and I don’t believe a Precursor sounds… Forerunner-y. Faber maybe. but a controlled Didact? sounds… not cheesy, but cheesy. I could understand if Precursor was working behind the scenes as you’re stating, but why show off a Forerunner symbol? possible cliffhangar revealing the behind the scenes Precursor? I’d like that.

I don’t know. This whole “Ancient Evil” thing is just… not headaching, but there’s so many different possibilities. good reasons. bad reasons. disappointed reasons. Meh, November 6th just can’t hurry up, can it?

But the Didact being evil for the sake of evil is any better?
