I really think we should be able to use the flashlight on our helmet. It’s always been there, but for some reason we’ve only been able to use it in Campaign or not at all. Give us our flashlight for multiplayer!
Thoughts?

Adds lag and there’s no point.
So no
Only if its brighter than the BF3 flashlight. MWHAHAAHHAHAHAHAAH!
It’d serve no purpose to be honest, unless 343 are thinking of adding night-time maps, which I think would be pretty cool.
I want to know how you guys come up with these random ideas, people will see you coming from around the corner

Prove it. Last time I checked in games that have flash lights, e.g. BF3 (which is also much more machine intensive than any other game on console), it hasn’t. Why would it? It’s such a little bit of programming with such little intensity that it doesn’t make a damn of a difference. Heck, if the game isn’t laggy with a giant mech being built in the middle of the map, I don’t know where you got the idea from and what you think adds lag.
What would be the point of it? Spartans have built in night vision.

I forgot how obnoxious that was… But yea, theres really no need for a flashlight in multiplayer. It will get annoying quickly when your scoped it and some jerk on your team comes up and flashes his flashlight in your face over and over again. If theres no tea bagging, this would def be a new way to annoy players - more specifically teammates.

I know, but they didn’t seem to in H3, H2, and I think HCE. Only ODST has shown it, and they weren’t even Spartans.

Adding light sources add lag to maps. Go forge a map. It would remove the ability to play online forged maps.
Forget the flash light. I would rather have Night Vision and then later on in the game earn ODST Visor or a Spartan ver. of the ODST Visor.
if its like the bf3 flashlight i want it !
Doesn’t seem very practical, the maps aren’t too dark and you can always turn brightness up.
there isn’t much point with a flashlight
Meh why the -Yoink- not?
I think we should have it as a toggled item in the gamemode options. If not a flashlight, then at least make night vision. If we did have something like this, it would make for the perfect infection map. Hell, it could make a really awesome addition for any map. I say yes.
It would be handy if there was an option in custom games settings to enable it on all players. It would be useful in custom games, because of the new dynamic lighting. Some forgers may build tunnels and in some parts, mightn’t have lights, or it could be purposely like that to make it more scary.
The bf3 flashlight is annoying enough. No flashlight In halo 4.
Ive wanted a flashlight since h3 for the nighttime infection maps…
Forget Flagnum.
I want Flashnum!
