Flash Back Tutorial?

Ok In all the halos the tutorial was something no one wanted to repeat to many times and thats what most tutorials are like but what if we actually made it something… Remembered

I say we should start it out from the beginning and end it how we left off.
I say the tutorial should be a dream of flash back from boot camp and we are playing as MC before he was turned into a spartan. We will meet his old friends like sam and get to see dr. halsey’s not as a old bag.

It will accomplish what its so pose to and tell MC’s story for those who are new to the halo universe

So? do you agree

Reminds me of Lego Indiana Jones, a game I used to glitch with.

If this tutorial mission has combat against rebels, that would be kick–Yoink-.

Cool idea. I have always liked the tutorials from the past Halo games.

Personally I don’t think there needs to be a tutorial. Games used to teach you by letting you play the games. You learnt by doing. Now they hold your hand and give you onscreen prompts that just aren’t needed.

i had a similar idea.

what you suggested could work but it would sorta confuse new audiences

Flashback to the point where Fred dies in Fall of Reach maybe? That mission could be fun

Ya but it would confuse the hell out of new fans
hell most already fans dont even know him

As long as it’s an optional, and skippable level. I hate being forced to do tutorials when I already know how to play the game.

Do you mean Sam? The first Spartan to die. Fred is still alive.

Maybe the flashback should be a playable version of the closing cutscene of Halo 3. That would be epic and would act as a quick recap to the previous game.

Same opinion as this guy.

That would turn off those who are coming from the computer game

games used to be MUCH simpler now there are many things that you won’t figure out right away, some even that you wont figure out until you’ve almost beaten the game

Books and comics cover that just fine.

It would be cool if your flashback tutorial was a dream when you were sleeping in the cryotube. And right when the mission is ended you start hearing cortana trying to wake you up and goes right into the teaser trailer and continue on from right after the trailer. It would be cool if you were like in your early years of being a spartan and your fighting rebels. That would be AWESOME!

great idea bro but you killed the -Yoink- out of dr. halsey’s name and jorge was not MC’S friend his friends were sam, kelly, fred, linda …oh and about confusing the fans well READ THE BOOK! is a simple answer

the normal fan doesnt touch books. the game should explain the history or plot and not relie on books or else it just confuses the audience.

Or they could read the comic book adaptations. Seriously, how does the backstory being in book form confuse the audience? Didn’t confuse me or anyone else who read the books.

Or…they could just play the first Damn trilogy. No need for Flashbacks at all.

There could be a quick tutorial while chief is running around on the Forward unto Dawn trying to escape
