Is flaming helmet still available in Halo 3 or is it too late?
The public only had access to the EOD flames on Halo 3 back on Bungie Day in 2010. Aside from that one specific day, it has never been made publicly obtainable like the Recon armour was (with the obvious exception of Halo: The Master Chief Collection).
Since 343i’s take over of the Halo franchise, the fate of the EOD flames is unknown.

It’s too late but no worries - the flaming helmets have no impact whatsoever upon gameplay so the players that you see using them have no advantage at all whatsoever. All armor pieces are equally useless even rare unlockable ones.

They don’t impact gameplay mechanics, but they impact gameplay in the way of intimidation. If I see someone in reach with the Haunted helmet in Reach I’m busting my -Yoink- to get out of their way.

I don’t see how one gets intimidated because of what helmet they’re wearing.

Yeah it makes no sense at all, getting it(or any armor piece for that matter)requires no skill - just playtime or codes. There are thousands of really bad inheritors out there that more than likely don the haunted helmet. Why even pay attention to the useless armor in the first place?

Most inheritors suck now because they boosted in Grifball with no real skill
