Flames

will flames ever come back? It’s kind of unfair to those who didn’t know about it or got the game late. I was told you can’t license transfer because that can lead to account banning. so will they ever come back?

If you mean in other games then yes it’s possible. If you mean in Reach then no. A quick search of this forum will provide you numerous topics as to why

nope

So would it be unfair to those who already have blue and red flames to see them being released again?

If the Legendary Armor Effect (Red Flames) were released to the public again, it would be unfair to the Halo: Reach players who purchased Legendary Edition, as it was one of the selling points of Legendary Edition (The statue being the primary). Those players were rewarded with Red Flames for paying extra for a special edition of the game. It essentially would be saying ‘Yoink!’ you to those players if 343i re-released the legendary Armor Effect.

As for the Eternal Armor Effect (Blue Flames), Simply put, the Eternal Armor effect was given out by Bungie as a parting gift to it’s loyal fans for Bungie Day 2012. The Eternal Armor Effect is associated with the Bungie nameplate, they are connected through coding. If you have the Bungie nameplate, you have ‘blue flames’. If not, then you don’t (Unless you utilized an ill-legit method, which the Banhammer will detect once you go online).

When Bungie passed the rights and data to Halo to 343 Industries, they did not hand over the rights to the nameplate system for Halo: Reach. Because of this fact (As well as copyright reasons I’m sure), 343i cannot give out the Bungie nameplate that the Eternal Armor effect is attached to and because of that 343i cannot give out the Eternal Armor effect.

I am questioning how it is unfair to players that were not around to recieve the Bungie Day 2012 parting gift that they cannot get the Eternal Armor effect.
Either you got it when Bungie was offering it, or you missed out and didn’t get it. it is fair and ‘Blue Flames’ and ‘Red Flames’ are not coming back. Please understand this and stop feeling entitled to the Eternal Armor Effect if you missed out on it because it was free at one point. If you want a cool armor effect, there is always Inclemental Weather in which you can earn, or if you have money to get a Legendary Edition code on eBay, the Legendary Armor Effect.

You’d be surprised.

Really unhappy I got live in 2013 :frowning:

I would be really annoyed at 343 if they re-released either flaming helmet armor effect. There was plenty of time to get it, several times to be exact, it was available on Bungie day, then later on you could get it from the site, then via the app. Everyone had several chances to get it, those who missed it, missed it.

You cannot just go back and re-release something that was said/supposed to be exclusive to those who were there at the time. You would understand if you were there, and got it at the time.

While I can see your desire for them I can see why some consider it unfair as they, like myself paid for the legendary copy of reach. That being said, there are still a few codes avail out there, they might still work if you can find one. Bu t the Blue flames however were a parting gift so those will probably forever be locked to those there that day, which for the purpose of honesty I also have.

Nope. Giving back orange flames would completely undermine the point of buying Reach: Legendary Edition.

all I really want is red flames tho
