Flag Throwing

I’m confused as to why people constantly pick up and throw the flag? I know it’s to get it where you want faster, but it gives away your position. Is it really that much of a benefit to completely reveal your location?

Well usually when I grab the flag there’s at least 1 guy every time that will turn to me and start shooting from a distance so I do it to get to my teammates quicker so they can protect me. Plus having someone watch me do it makes me feel pro and like I know what I’m doing haha

It’s quicker but like you say it gives the postion away, I drop it for speed if they’re onto me.

Makes sense, had a game of BTB where I got the flag to our base all three times without doing that while the other team did, ended up winning the game.

All depends on the situation and map really…if you’re spotted then it doesn’t hurt to do it just to move it closer to capturing or a teammate. Otherwise it’s best at times to not let the enemy know where it is.

Something I never do in fact I sometimes go out my way to stay hidden.
I’ve did that in one game capturing all three flag without once being seen and won the game in 2:30 minutes, so throwing doesn’t help really?

Although if your in a group then another member can pick it up and get a bonus ?

I like that lol

I use it in breakout to chuck it to a spot and watch to see where the (last) enemy is. (I call it luring)
Also in Breakout and CTF I use Flag juggling to get to places a hell lot faster. Once I’ve Literally captured the flag and placed it on the enemies place within 20 seconds of the map on Regret (best map to juggle on)
