So we know the flagnum has returned but you can also drop the flag now too, Green skull from ready up live played the campaign and CTF and has reported you can drop it - great news!

Uh oh… Let’s just hope the announcer won’t flood the audio feed with those kind of messages again if flag juggling is back.

May the guardians have mercy on our souls… In all seriousness, it’s nice that the option is back. I just hope the announcer keeps quite about it, if it’s manually dropped.

God some people will complain about literally anything, its called selective attention people.The Flag should be able to be dropped and I am glad its back.

Of course, it adds some more skill to capping the flag, but all those messages were rather obnoxious to me. We get it, the flag carrier can juggle.

To be honest, I find this a more ‘serious’ issue than some of the other topics passing by today.

So you would rather not know if your flag has been stolen? Its really not that big of a deal to be honest lol.

I am so happy this made a return to Halo, it was greatly missed in Halo 4 and was one of many reasons people really disliked the multiplayer aspect of the game, not being able to hand the flag to one of your teammates unless you were to die was such a silly idea. Glad to see it back, Halo 5 is looking more and more delicious with each passing day I swear it.

Yeah, it wouldn’t be hard to:

Not allow an update on the status of the flag from the announcer more often than every 5 seconds
Not announce it with the announcer at all and put a little icon on the screen… or make a tiny beep sound that changes according to taken or dropped.

Asks for flag juggling to return, proceeds to complain about narrator. It’s informative and has always been like this, get over it. It’s going to happen or else you’ll never know what’s going on with your flag.

Actually doesn’t it make the flag capture easier by making the flag carrier move faster, thus making the capture require less skill? Not trying to play devil’s advocate, but I thought the whole point was that it made capturing the flag easier.

^This is why people like flag juggling. You dont have to sacrifice movement to carry the flag.
