Flag exploit ruins the fun

Just lost a game, because the enemy team constantly grabbed the flag, threw it, and re-grabbed it. Speeding up the travel time. This should be a thing. The flag should drop dead center, or at least the ability to throw it should be on a couple second cooldown.

Its been like this from the very first game. Its part of a strategy. They are not going to change it for you new players

Tell me you’ve never played Halo without saying you’ve never played Halo.

It’s called flag juggling, isn’t an exploit, and has been in the game since 2001 lol

If it makes you feel better, this isn’t a super hard thing to do.

You must be new to Halo, because there this has been a thing since the originals…

-Yoink!-. Flag running has been a thing since halo 2. Figure out how to do it yourself and stop crying about a feature that’s been in the game for decades.

We see where your coming from with your complaint, what others are failing to mention is how Halo Infinites “ Flag Juggling “ is a bit different than in past Halo’s, ( EXCLUDING Halo 4 and Halo 5 - these Halo titles gave you a gun to utilize when carrying the flag ) ; In Halo Infinite, you can use exploits to speed up the Flag juggling, allowing players to launch the flag half way or all across the maps, which can end rounds too matches faster, to the point where matches can end within the first 3 minutes of each round.

I do agree that it ruins the fun and that it needs to be address ; I say bring back Halo 4 - Halo 5’s flag play where the carrier has a gun.

For now, as bad as it sounds, those against it kinda just have to deal with it or leave “ Capture the flag game mode “ alone all together.

What about both? Maybe a new objective mode. Stockpile in BTB sucks, so what if we made it Offense/Defense and gave power seed carriers a sidekick?

I knew when I saw the title it would be about flag juggling. I don’t think Halo is for you if you think it should be removed.

I don’t think he is referring to flag juggling as an exploit, I think he is referring to the exploits you can use to exploit capture the flag game mode.

What exploits are you referring to in order to launch the flag?

He’s specifically referring to dropping it and picking it up again, he didn’t say anything about launching the thing. The flag juggling works the same as in 2 and 3.

Holding a pistol while carrying the flag is cool, but being a flag carrier is supposed to be a vulnerable position. Having a weapon that has a ranged TTK of a little over a second isn’t a wise decision.

I hate to be that guy, but… Halo 2 was the first game where it was viable, cause it bounced so far. Then, they toned it down in future Halos.

Original Halo CE didn’t have a viable juggle cause the Flag didn’t carry through the air very well. It was probably better for it though, cause it created some classic-sneaky kills with the Flag and scores where the team doesn’t know where the flag is. In Infinite there is a not good enough benefit to try the sneaky route.

That being said, however, I don’t have a problem with how it’s introduced in Infinite, which is better than most Halos.

No it’s been a thing since forever and it won’t go away any time soon

Ok everyone, I think OP gets it.

What’s a flag? :joy: :gun:

You could do it in Halo 1 way more effectively. In fact, it could bounce extremely far. There is a trick you can do on Hang 'Em High that let’s you bounce the flag from one side of the map all the way to the other. Technically not flag juggling, but the concept was there in CE.

Ya that is Flag Relaying and the flag had very little bounce. But the main reason Flag Juggling was not viable was because you run at the same speed with or without flag.

Literally nobody juggled Flags in CE. I played a lot of original CE cause I was in college and we would network Xboxes together between dorm rooms and play every weekend. I also played in some tournies. I don’t remember anyone throwing the Flag to move faster (cause it didn’t work).

Now, Relaying is a different story, but wasn’t a great advantage, not near as much as Halo 2 was with it’s crazy bouncing mechanics and glitches.
