So here’s how every (EVERY) CTF game outside of BTB goes.
game start
both teams grab eachother’s flags
both flag carriers hide
each team now has to get to wherever the other flag carrier is hiding back at the other team’s spawn point, kill them while they’re protected, and return flag while it’s protected
this takes minutes of gametime
eventually, against all odds, one team manages to do this after a few minutes and scores
now the team that is up 1-0 on flag caps grabs the other team’s flag, brings it back to their spawn, hides the carrier, and simply camps, allowing the other team to get their flag since they can’t cap it anyway
match goes to time limit
Easy fix: ALLOW PLAYERS TO CAPTURE THE FLAG REGARDLESS AS TO WHETHER THEIR FLAG IS PRESENT OR NOT TO STOP TURNING EVERY CTF GAME INTO A GAME OF CAT AND MOUSE CAMPING TRIP WHERE THE TEAM UP BY 1 JUST HAS TO RUN OUT THE CLOCK
There wouldn’t be any real point in defending your own flag and it’d just turn into a race of who can score that fastest?

Maybe they could test the mode for a while and tell people they’re testing, or maybe make a playlist that gives a reward for testing it and giving feedback.
There would still be a point in defending your flag since they couldn’t capture it if it’s guarded, but maybe they could add a cooldown to picking up the flag and picking it up again after dropping it.
I think that’s been suggested before in another topic, but I didn’t read most of it.
It’s really annoying that right now it turns into a standstill, and then the first team to die loses because no one can defend the flag-carrier from most of the enemy team.
Sort of like right now?
You literally don’t have to defend your own flag when you can just grab the enemy’s flag to invalidate any danger to them getting yours.
If your enemy could still score on you when you had their flag, THEN you’d have to defend your own.
