fixing these would help the btb EXPERIENCE

There have been so many things on this game that SHOULD NOT have been taken out.

First Bungie took off the tank off of Hemorrhage, I don’t understand why you guys don’t put them back if you guys love the classic settings so much an its not even classic IF WRAITHS WEREN’T EVEN ON COAGULATION IN THE FIRST PLACE. Just face it, Wraiths are a complete joke on that map. An for the people that say, “oh the tank spawn kills me yada yada.” Just don’t die, if you don’t like the map then vote for something else then.

Second you guys took off the Banshee off of Breakpoint, why would you put one on there in the first place if your just going to end up taking it off??? If people are really going to cry about it, they should shoot at it in the game an take it down instead of coming on here an crying about ohhhh I can’t take down the Banshee wah wah. Whenever you know they just can’t aim with the DMR to save there little video game characters life.

Then last off Breakneck, why would you guys take off the freakin Banshee off of there? People actually team shot it down, the Revi isn’t really that much of a game changer compared to a Banshee. I honestly don’t see the point of running to the middle of the map just to get a little better version of the Ghost.

No I am not the type of guy that exploits these either, an just because someone exploits it an over uses that certain vehicle doesn’t mean you need to take it out. Just means you tell people to adapt to it cause its not changing or you could add something else on the map that can blow it up. All the reason why I want all these back is because I actually like having a wide variety of vehicles to play with. There is only one map with the tank an that’s Boneyard, an its in the middle so by the time you get it, someone is already on the back of it blowing it up. An the Banshee is only on maps now that make it harder to shoot such as Paradiso, Spire and that one map where its in the middle its kinda similar to Paradiso, but yeah that’s terrible. It was on actual maps you could team shoot it on, the other maps you can basically hide it on your side an that’s the end of it for the other team.

hemmorage is actually one of the most challenging maps but it does belong in btb

Banshee and tank are pretty OP.

Im still lolling that they didnt nerf the banshee in the TU, nice priorities guys.

I hate that the tank is gone from MM now, but the problem with it is that you can shoot a tanks turret clean off with another tank which people were doing from across the entire map, then you have one working tank on one side right at the start and its pretty much game over from there.

The problem with the tank is that you can essentially shoot people out of mid air, which is (not so fantastic accuracy) one of the primary tools that previously prevented it from being broken.

The banshee is clearly abused in MM and it should stay out. Until it recieves a proper fix.

What do you expect people to do with? Look at a wall an not shoot?

You’ve made some good points here. At the same time, the map is too segmented for the side that spawns with the Gauss. The moment the Gauss spawns, the Banshee can bomb it to death or into the sea; meanwhile, that team’s only paths out of their spawn building are a long, narrow, and uncovered catwalk; and open ground – both highly vulnerable to Banshee bombs as well as cross-mapping by ground forces.

“Just because there is X problem doesn’t mean you need to apply Y solution. Just tell people to adapt because you’re not applying Y solution!”

I’m fairly sure that’s some form of circular logic, but I don’t know the precise term for it. The bit about adding another anti-vehicle power weapon is a good idea, though.

This is a valid point and I agree here. However, if the choice is between blatantly-overpowered vehicles that grant even the noobiest of noobs a good five to eight free kills… and a lack of variety, the obvious choice is the latter.

I’ve done well with a Banshee, against players that were clearly better than me. I’m not “crying” because I die from it; I want it gone because it’s legitimately overpowered. It’s a fast-moving vehicle that can disable aim assist (which, on an imprecise console joystick, is absolutely necessary) and break weapon lock-ons on a whim, infinitely, with no penalty. Its bomb has a low cooldown, a massive blast radius that far exceeds the visible size of the explosion, and it homes in on targets. Being an air vehicle, the thing can pretty much see over nearly all cover on the map, and Reach’s bass-ackward spawning algorithm loves nothing more than to spawn the team without the Banshee out in the open, outside of all buildings and protective cover, when the enemy has the Banshee and is using it. And worse yet – if your team is firing on the Banshee, then they’re not firing on the enemy ground players that now have free reign to move around the map while you and your guys are trapped in a small area, where all attempts at leaving are punished with instantaneous burning green death.

People want it gone because it’s a badly-designed glass cannon. It’s not those people’s fault. It’s not even the fault of those using the vehicle. The only people who are at fault for the Banshee being powerful to the point of being broken are Bungie.

Why are you not posting these additional complaints in your original thread. I’ll do a complete breakdown of why your still wrong when I get home.

I never found the banshee to be a problem on either map, quite contrary, the gauss hog was the real balance breaker. 99% of the time I spawn on red team, the few times I managed to beat someone to the banshee as soon as I got in I was blasted away by the Gauss hog. That thing is overpowered, the banshee is quite easy to shoot down, I always just find some rockets and unlike AI’s they won’t know it’s coming 'till they’re dead. However I cannot play any map the gauss hog because 9 times out of 10 the other team will drive up and down my teams spawning ground killing us and because if it barely traces the leg you’re dead - it can be a game changer. I’d much rather see the Gauss hog gone and just have 2 banshees on the map instead.

And let me ask you this: on HEMMORAGE if one team has both tanks driving around the enemy base how are they supposed to ‘get better’ if they die as soon as they spawn? Unlike older Halo’s the tank in reach has a way larger aoe, you don’t even have to hit the target to kill them. It sounds to me like you liked having OP devices on maps for you to exploit, never mind the other team, as long as you benefit from it.

Personally I very much enjoy the Wraith and find it works well if driven by the right person, and while the tank on boneyard is hard to get if you’re team red, once you get into it, you just blast whoever is nearby and drive for cover. It ALWAYS gets destroyed if you drive up and down the middle of the map.

I affirm your attempt to remake the thread with less flamebait, although it is only marginally better.

Also you should bring your concerns up to the Big Team crowd, and raise support prior to posting it on here. I personally think most of what you think is going to get shot down, but at least bring it up amongst fellow comrades of the playlist prior to telling devs what should change.

I don’t think anything in the game is OP. If you know how to use weapons, armor abilities and vehicles properly, you will notice that it’s just a big game of rock paper scissors. If any team were to focus fire on the banshee, it goes down in seconds. Tanks are powerful but slow, plasma pistols and snipers are your friends when it comes to tanks. Wraiths are the easiest to take down if you get behind it. The gaus worthog goes down with a well-placed grenade. If you don’t have the shot stay inside. Al of these problems are easily solved if you know what your doing!

Stop complaining, adapt or die.
