I’m not sure about you but I love Warzone and would love to see it return. My only gripe is that the most social playlist is now (seemingly) filled with people who triple cap the bases as fast as possible.
I don’t have a problem losing in Warzone, nor do I care if they destroy my core (okay, that’s a lie I do care, but I don’t get angry about it) it only sucks when the enemy snowballs you and you have level 4 REQ’s and they have level 9 REQ’s.
So what can we do to fix this awesome gamemode for Halo 6? Well I’m glad you asked.
The first fix I’d implement is people in groups are matched against same size groups. That way no 12 man group is facing against 3 2 player groups and 6 solo players. I feel like this change would be the most important to implement and as population lowers you could take away this restriction.
The 2nd thing that could be done is move the armories farther apart and fill the space between with enemies so that the opposing team can’t as easily rush your base and lock you out before even capturing the 1st base.
Finally we have air vehicles, this probably won’t be a popular opinion but I feel as if the Wasp has made it easier to at least contest a base and/or keep pressure on a team so that they can’t capture it. I would be okay with keeping the wasp or introducing another human air vehicle in Halo 6 but increasing it’s REQ value by 1. Though I mostly solo queue so that may be why I have such a hard time with Wasps.
Oh and all maps have a base thats near spawn so its a pretty sure thing you’ll capture a base. Nothing like battle of Noctus where there’s 3 bases all equal distances apart.
That’s the changes I would implement for Halo 6 to make warzone less triple cappy in 4 minutes. What about you? Thoughts on these ideas and what changes would you make?
