With Halo 4 on the horizon, I know we (probably) won’t see anymore changes to Reach, but here are a few things I would have liked to see in Reach’s BTB.
-Reduce the chance of Heavies appearing in the vote selection, or take it out completely. This gametype comparable to that of a film directed by Michael Bay: Explosions, explosions, and more explosions. It’s loud, obnoxious and I have no idea why it was added in the first place.
-Modify spawns, as spawn-killing/camping is a major problem. Getting placed in the open happens too often, as does getting trapped inside your base, or even alienated away from it. This can be a problem when playing against a full party of Inheritors.
-Make the playlist DLC required.
There isn’t enough map variety; the forge maps are too bland, Boneyard and Spire are stale. Been a problem since launch.
Banshee fixes (though I hear this has been addressed in Halo 4):
I think I can say that I’m not the only one that has noticed a large amount of banshee abuse in BTB games (primarily by stat whores and Inheritors).
-Increase cooldown between banshee tricks
-Limit the use of the banshee bomb
-Simply remove them
Don’t get me wrong, removing the banshee is something I don’t really want to see, but seriously, it is NOT okay to have someone go 67 - 3 because they spawn-kill with the banshee.
I guess this was more of a rant, but whatever. Just my thoughts and opinions.
One huge fix is to change the player base stats on spawn. Something as simple as invulnerability for the first 3 seconds on spawn. Maybe even like 100% camo for 5 seconds on spawn. Test out the options and see what works.

100% Camo of spawn for 5 seconds wow that’s a Terrible idea
The spawn killing in BTB won’t stop , im sorry but nothing anyone is going to do is going to stop people from doing it…
I, myself, like heavies. The thing I can’t stand is people who vote for the canyon over and over and over when there are DLC maps ready to go.

Of all the rants I’ve heard, at least this is a creative idea. Even when not spawn-camped in BTB, I’ve played Arena, and spawned just in time to turn around from facing the wall, go “where am I?”, “What is that black dot with the red around it?”, “Sh…” repeat…
I like certain maps on heavies, I just wish they had a different weapon/vehicle setup or removal of certain maps. I love btb spire, but I hate cragmire. I think gravyyard would work better if the tanks were not directly opposite from each other, if the other half of the map was used for spawning or any sort of combat I would enjoy it more. Rasu is a great example for me, it’s a very fun map but on all of the heavies maps with falcons it’s suicide to try and use them. Normal btb falcons are great fun, but in heavies, one tank shot, laser blast, rocket, gauss hog will kill it instantly. Maybe if certain vehicles or weapons were switched out so the HE factor (High Explosive) wasn’t through the roof it would be more tolerable for everyone. One example that works more or less well is Delta Facility. Tanks are way overpowered, wraith mortars take longer to hit if you use it long range and they are easy to destroy if you know what you’re doing. As long as you can aim as soon as you fire the tank it hits.
My only gripes are the lasers and gauss hogs; they appear too often making vehicle play difficult, and tanks. Certain maps benefit from tanks rather than wraiths and vise versa.
They should had really added a DLC Option before you play a match,if you want to play DLC just activate it before searching,if not just leave it off.simple

Agreed
Or DLC should be required for THE EVOLVED PLAYLIST

^ This, all of it.
Also, balance/remove Spire.
