[ EDIT - Thanks to some folks on the Warframe forums, I discovered the issue. Cyberpunk’s game-ready Nvidia drivers had problems that have seemingly remained unresolved. I switched over to the older 442.74 drivers, at the recommendation of another player, and all of my affected games are running smoothly now! If anyone else is having this problem, I strongly recommend adding your voice to mine in getting this to Nvidia support’s attention ]
A month or so back, I recently found myself dealing with some immense loading issues when booting into any sort of activity. If it’s multiplayer matches, I could routinely stare at the leaderboard prompt for anywhere from 10-15 seconds with the game seemingly visibly locked up. Campaign missions will start playing cutscene audio, and then suddenly whiplash visibly to the current point in the cutscene 10 seconds later. And when loading into Firefight or Spartan Ops, I’ll catch a split-second of the loadout menu and then get forced into whatever is at the top. In all cases, once it reaches that point, the framerate briefly heaves, then goes back to playing the game immaculately like it did before.
I normally don’t reach out for help, but honestly, I’m kind of at my wit’s end for solutions. I’ve tried… so much.
Windows updates.
GPU driver updates.
RAM diagnostics.
SSD integrity checks and firmware updates.
System file check.
Disk cleanup and defragging.
Deleting appdata caches.
Uninstalling and reinstalling, both on the same SSD and on a different SSD.
I am kind of wondering if this is an program-specific issue, since I have near-identical problems with Warframe and Star Wars Squadrons, but these issues are nonexistent with basically every other game I have. Cyberpunk 2077, Rainbow Six Siege, Doom Eternal, Insurgency: Sandstorm, PUBG, and Ghost Recon Wildlands have all been problem-free. So I’m honestly out of ideas, and could really use a second pair of eyes if someone has ideas to spare.
Two other details:
1 - This has been just about a month in the making. I know I was problem-free when I finished the Halo 4 Squad Battle ranked challenge on December 5th, and ever since coming back from a bit of a break just a week before Christmas, 'round the 21st.
2 - My system specs:
GeForce RTX 2070 Super
i7-9700K @ 3.60GHz
16GB DDR4 RAM
500GB SATA SSD + 1TB SATA SSD
1920 x 1080p @ 60Hz
Any help would be IMMENSELY appreciated!
