FIX- The fix is logging out of your Microsoft account and then logging back in again

For some reason, Halo MCC (PC) will not let my play and pops up with a Contacting Server Message every time I try and play the game. The error message says “contacting the server to get the latest matchmaking data. Please wait.” I have been waiting over the last couple of hours and I still don’t know what changed from when I played it 16 hours ago. I have tried repairing the game via steam, restarted my computer and it did not change anything. I can play other online games without any problems so it is only Halo MMC, also single-player activities that like solo custom games, campaign and firefight all work fine it is just when I need to connect to other players. I do not know what problems I am having so if anyone is able to help that would be great.

I know this might sound stupid but try signing out of your Account and then signing back in.

If you don’t know how, you can follow the steps here: How to Change Microsoft Account in Halo Master Chief Collection - PwrDown

I know it says how to change your account but it is the same process except you just sign back in with the same account.

I work all day come home want to relax and play my game and get -Yoink- accomplished and i cant because my way point says servers down please help me
