Fix your game servers 343!!!

I cannot take it anymore, I am really thinking about just playing Destiny at this point, maybe even Titanfall 2 when it comes out, Halo 5 has the WORST servers I have ever seen. today I decided to play some Halo 5, after Halo Wars 2 servers decided to freeze up and die, I played only 2 games, 2!!. didn’t finish either one, I just put the controller down and got off. What is the deal, instead of praising your recolored banishes, why not use that money to get better servers. You people spent so much time making REQs, Warzone and getting Halo 5 into Esports that you seem to have ignored the issues with the servers.

I still haven’t gotten the armor I even want yet, but at this point Ill never get it, I am disconnected from the game so often its sad, really, who did the server coding? How sensitive is it? cause those “preferences” do nothing, they are just toggleable words on a screen. Even then forget Halo 5, Xbox live seems to have just dipped in quality, parties constantly have break ups, and connecting to my friends minecraft world is a nightmare.

And before anyone says it, its not my Wi-Fi, I have fast internet, nothing else is affected, even the console it self says my internet is fine.

rant done.

Have you tried running on a wired connection as opposed to WiFi? Might be worth doing a few tests and see if your situation improves at all

I do not have the option to do so, my xbox is on a different floor of my house, unless I run a wire up the stairs and across the hall into my living room, no choice but wi-fi, also, sorry if the OP seems a little, rude… I am just getting really angry at the game due to how often it happens and the lack of awareness 343 is showing toward this issue for me and many others.

Different floors can definitely impact how good WiFi communication is. It can get a good signal but wiring in the house or other devices can cause dips and issues.

Having problems connecting to minecraft seems to support this too.

It usually requires there to be a pretty extensive outage issue for any developer to acknowledge server issues. Largely because most of the time it is on the user end.

Agreed, most people running wired connections with open ports report very few problems.

It might not just be your Wi-Fi, but also the strength of the router as well.

I personally have a router with options for B/G/N and AC, using the latter connection usually doesn’t give me any issues even on WiFi. Of course, it could just as easily be MS at fault, depending on where they’re pulling dedicated servers from.

That said, WiFi is never the most ideal solution due to it adding latency regardless. Not all routers are created equal either.

Minecraft wise, its only one world, and the issues are new as I was not having said issues until yesterday. As for Halo, it was fine earlier, it was when xbox went down back in February, since then, my connectivity has dipped.

I get very small latency and the xbox tests say I have 100% percent wi-fi strength, and again, the router has great internet and fast speed, no other device in the house has this issue, my Dads PC and my laptop are both on the second floor while xbox is in the basement, up here, I have zero issues, and I am not wired.

I would bet that the issue isn’t on your network side of things as the Servers are GARBAGE - They will never be fixed, most likely they can’t be fixed. Furthermore 343i will not acknowledge this as an issue, also they don’t give a damn.
Now go buy some REQs !!!
Just my two cents on the matter.

If you want to get the best Halo 5 experience, you must tilt your Xbox One on it’s side, lmao.

Hey Knavish, I recommend getting a pair of “power lines”. This game runs much better wired. I am using the Pl’s because it is not practical for me to run a wire two floors.
