I’m so done with this game I am -7 kda for swat this season because your -Yoink- deticated servers last season I was on 5.0 and I was champion 120 this season I’m yet to win a game because Australians can not search on expanded I’m not sure why the lag is so bad all my American friends say it’s fine on expanded. I can’t actually find balanced or focused games in most of my playlists. The connection on expanded is so bad for us it’s like a 3 second delay on everything if you go to my game clips and screenshots pretty much everything I record is the bs I deal with every day. I’m so sick and tired of this I play the game 7-18 HOURS EVERY DAY! 343i do not care for anyone in Australia >:(

- Chill. - Change the title of your thread if you don’t want it to be locked. - Halo 5: Guardians runs on dedicated servers, which means you should be mad at Microsoft and not 343i.
I know how you feel (I’m from Egypt and my connection to the servers over there is really bad) and I understand your frustration, but if you’re not careful, you can be banned.
I agree with the OP in that I too believe MS/343 have routinely shafted Australia.

That very marginally increases the chance you’ll be put with other people with your connection quality, but it doesn’t work for the vast majority of the time.

I find games fine on focused.
I’m in Australia too and find matches every time using expanded search parameters. About 50% of the time the lag isn’t too noticeable.
On the other hand focussed never works and balanced works only after 8pm. When I do find a match using balanced the game is super smooth and can’t rage about lag, I only have myself to blame!
I think it comes down to our low population here and NZ. Lucky Americans!

Every country is impacted. I’m in the USA, i get laggy matches, routinely get killed in two shots, yet it never favors me. I have great internet with a wired connection.

Probably a Mexican server or something maybe halo 6 should have neutral type servers where both teams have the same connection.
When you search on expanded in Australia, what it essentially does is widen the parameters into allowing you to match on servers which are hosted in the US where the majority of the playerbase is.
The further you are away from the server, the more the physics of the speed of light traveling halfway around the world and the latency introduced by network nodes (your connection bouncing to your router, to your local exchange, to your local node, to the Sydney hub, then across the ocean to a hub, then to a node, then to the server, etc, and then all the way back again) starts to add up to around 200ms latency which is why it feels like there’s a heavy delay, you’re literally looking at the game 0.2 seconds behind everyone else which in halo is a couple of shots or enough to lose almost every gunfight and make the game feel sluggish, unresponsive and frustrating.
Only search ‘Balanced’ and if it can’t find a game, then there’s simply not enough players in Australia playing in that playlist searching at that time at around your CSR level unfortunately.

Thank you dude but I can’t really find games on balanced/focused for any playlists besides warzone firefight, team arena and action sack 
and in team arena it’s the same 50 people that play and they are all super good teams

Yeah I do have this problem too, constantly run into Seduced who just wrecks my -Yoink-.

Im from Perth, I’m in the Platinum range typically. Didn’t know you were Champion rank, good work btw. The main problem is that the game is trying to match you with other Onyx players. Not sure theres an easy fix for that.
There is no point posting it here anymore, it’s not getting a fix. The best thing to do is to hope that Halo 6 has somewhat better servers around the world.
Australians?! These forums are the only places where I even find you guys… Why can’t I ever find any of you in 5 or TMCC?! I’m sick of playing lag-fest matches and then getting pummelled with abuse from the yanks.
The other thing is… The Halo population is kinda destroyed these days due to some ‘disasters’ that have occurred since the 343 takeover.
