I should not be spawning near multiple enemies or be spawned on by them.
How have you not managed to understand spawning, it should be pretty easy to code Spawn X metres from enemies. Like if I kill an enemy dont spawn his team on me, you’re just giving free kills and wins to the enemy team.
Physically no point in playing if I cant spawn in.
Don’t you just love it when you win a fight in CTF, grab their flag and boom, the enemies spawns on you? I find it really impressive that they reverted to Halo CE spawns, which are completely random, but didn’t want to also use the working melee hits from that 20 year old game. The decision process 343 is using is a real head scratcher.
You’re being absolutely unreasonable here. Every FPS has issues with their spawn systems from time to time and the public has barely had a month to play the game and give 343 some real data. The spawns will get better, just as they with every fps given some time.
Every FPS has issues with their spawn systems from time to time
In Infinite, it’s all the time though. The spawns will be favoring one team the whole match.
the public has barely had a month to play the game and give 343 some real data
This was flagged in flights, but I guess since 343 deleted the old forums they can now claim no one told them? Do you also think the spawns will be fixed in the official launch, in less than 5 hours?
Again, these things aren’t fixed overnight. Every Halo has had problems with spawns off of launch. You’re exaggerating the issue and as I said, these things get better with time.
This seems like you first Halo game from what you’re saying, so I’ll just tell you that no, not every Halo had these problems at launch. 3 and Reach had spawn control properly implemented from the beginning. But to be fair those are 14 and 11 year old games respectively, so clearly we lost the technology to achieve the feat of releasing working games and spawns on launch.
The issues are not exaggerated. The spawns always favor one team. The BTB weapon spawns always favor one team. The BTB vehicle spawns always favor one team. It’s just the way they probably ‘balance’ the game, being unable to actually implement working spawn control.
And no, they will not get better with time. This was flagged a lot during flights, and in a classic 343 move, they just didn’t change anything. Please stop downplaying the severity of major game issues, that’s how games die. The desync, the broken melee, the broken grenades and the broken spawns all contribute to Infinite’s 65% playerbase drop in only 2 weeks.
You need to stop carrying water for a company that only wants your 15$ for an armor locked flower.
Yes, please commence with the personal attacks. That’s totally the best way to converse on the issue! I’ve been playing since '02 so this isn’t my first rodeo. If you’d like to ignore past launches, that’s perfectly fine but don’t lie outright to further your point. These are complex systems that take time to fine tune. I’m not 100% happy with how things have turned out at launch but the game is playable and more stable than any AAA shooter we’ve gotten in a good long while. As for me “carrying water”, Is it so much to ask people to be patient? Just remember, if were really such a simple endeavor, you’d be on the development team actively working on a solution instead complaining on their forums.
I’m not sure how you saw a personal attack there. You’re stating stuff that is verifiably false by saying spawns in every Halo had problems on launch, so either you’re deciding to ignore past launchs, or you just didn’t know because it’s your first Halo game. I assumed that this was your first game and that you were simply mistaken, but it turns out you only want to lie to prove your point. Getting called out for lying shouldn’t come off as a personal attack, I’m sorry you took it that way.
I’m also not sure how, as a consumer, I’m not supposed to use the forums 343 provides for feedback to give feedback and instead should go apply for their development team. That makes no sense, but I can appreciate the mental gymnastics you’re performing, they’re quite impressive. I also will not be leaving my job for a downgrade at 343i, as our company makes actual functional software that works on launch. I prefer working for an enterprise that is proud of the product they make.
You purposely expressed that my opinion could only be valid if I were new to the franchise. That’s clearly a personal attack and if you can’t recognize that, I pity whoever has to interact with you in real life.
Feedback is obviously needed to make this game better, but you’ve given nothing constructive. In what situation do you experience these bad spawns? Is it in objective? What’s the position of your team? How many power weapons are in play and what are the kill times? Do you experience this more in smaller maps or BTB? Saying “GAME IS BAD” adds no real value to the discussion and any information they’re gleaning off of their collected data would probably be more useful than anecdotal evidence. The Halo engine has always collected
a treasure trove of usable data that the public doesn’t have access to and I’m sure they’ve built Slipspace to be more robust.
And again, if you would like to look at the past with rose-tinted glasses, you’re more than welcome to. But Halo 2 STILL has rough spawns, Halo 3 were spotty for the first few months and the DMR made Reach spawns hellish at times with it’s extended range. Under the right circumstances, you could very easily break the spawning systems for said games, and they’re readily available if you would like to conduct that experiment.
Assuming someone is at their first Halo game isn’t a personal attack. Saying you pity people who have to interact with someone else is. Nice try deflecting, and I’m still appreciating all the mental gymnastics you’re going through, they’re very impressive to watch.
By highlighting problems explicitly, like “The spawns always favor one team.”, the solution should be obvious to any game developer: the spawns shouldn’t always favor one team. This is not rocket surgery. No one said “GAME IS BAD”. I think you are the first person in this thread that used those words. Good try pinning it on me though, I think I can see where this is going.
You can also launch Halo MCC right now, get in a multiplayer match in Foundry, and funnel enemy spawns to A Sniper if your team covers B Sniper, B Spawn and A Spawn. So, again, if you want to lie to further your point, you can, it just doesn’t actually help the conversation.
I can see this is going nowhere, and that arguing with is poitnless. You’re resorting to simply insult me and refusing to use verifiable facts to further your though process, simply lying and hoping I’ll forget those verifiable facts. If I were to tell you the sun is hot, you’d probably argue that it’s so cold it burns. I hope you one day realize that lying on an online forum doesn’t help anyone improve.
Spawns are chaotic sometimes. Your teams positioning influences the spawns, and sometimes especially games with randoms, everyone is scattered and terrible spawns happen.
My biggest issues concerning spawning pop up when we have chaotic battle lines. I run into a lot of newer players just bum rushing the enemy in weird ways rather than moving through the map fluidly and it just throws everything into disarray.
