How are players getting lag in Spartan Opts, iv played it many times with no lag and have only had multiplayer lag issues here and there
Everything in Halo 4 lags!!!
I don’t know about you, but I didn’t get Halo 4 to play by myself. I like to play with friends, and the lag is terrible. Spartan Ops can be multiplayer, and the lag makes me mad as it can be as much as 2 seconds behind what I want to do, and there is NO point in playing. So I am not going to, and due to that, very likely not to play Halo 4 any more. There was nothing like this in the other Halo games, and Halo 4 is turning into a major disappointment.

There are multiple reasons, ranging from your connection to the host connection, whether or not devices on your network is taking up bandwidth. Just saying “fix it 343i” isn’t going to work, Networked connections aren’t that simple.
I play with my friends and never have issues at all. No idea why and iv seen others post that they get matched with players from all around the world during hte day. Im allways matched with players from Canada and the States during the day. In the middle of the night i might get more from around the world but dont play at 3am that often
There is a noticeable 1/2 to full second between button/trigger press to show on screen, while the AI is unimpeded.
It is rare for me to get into a non lag game, but it does happen.
I have a 12Mb down connection. Its not my connection, and the lag has been there since day one. I don’t care if they fix it at this point, I am simply putting my opinion of the game and how I feel out there. I’m not the only one that I know personally that has had the same issues. We can’t ALL have slow connections.
We dont all have slow connections but i know that when you got someone gaming, and some one on a computer with a somewhat fsat speed its gonna make the game lag a ton. I had this issue in college so i didnt play untill people went to bed

Well the connection from all players affect the quality of the match when you play Spartan Ops, Firefight and Campaign. So it will lag if most of the players have bad upload/ping and players that live far away, it takes longer for them to load up their data to the host and host then has to send that data to the rest of the players.

The quality of the connections in Spartan OPs is arguably lower than the rest of the game.
The amount of enemies thrown at you can cause lag as well. While not as crippling when playing on someones Walmart connection, it is noticeable. It’s even worse when you are playing on a laggy connection.
I usually quit out of games when i pour shots into the enemies and their shields won’t register any damage taken despite the hitmarkers confirming i hit the target (s).

Iv seen that in BTB a few times. Ten players all in a small area with nades goin off and the fram rate drops a bit. Iv felt that Halo 4 would have been better on the next gen Xbox. Reminds me alot of Halo 2 with all the graphic pops that were in the game
