You’re not wrong that the TTK plays a big factor on M&K along with the range of jumps and mobility of players. That’s what decreases the aim of M&K, my reticle doesn’t follow your player that moves around like spider-man. How are you going to claim ego though when there’s data in front of you that clearly shows significant imbalance? At the end of the day if a game is going to be pro level, then the ability of the player needs to be genuine. Aim assist isn’t genuine skill. That would be like pro athletes playing with magnets in their gloves and the ball… The better player should win, not the better input. Aim assist has no business in competitive video games in my honest opinion. Now casual… that’s a different story but Halo has made it clear they’re trying to make Infinite an eSport. That’s my opinion though, if you really think the aim assist is so lackluster and barren turn it off and see how well you play…

You honestly seem to have no clue on this issue if you think aim assist makes controller players have no skill. Sounds like MnK players just want their severe advantage back.

This is the problem with crossplay, and why they should have the option to turn it off.

If you removed aim assist MnK would dominate, not because they are better, but because the response times, and etc are vast over a controller.

You can tell MnK players in ranked, because some of the movements they are doing is simply not possible with controller, it blows my mind when people don’t get the advantages of MnK and complain about the small amount of aim assist.

Ye true. But there are games where both inputs coexists. Like Apex.
I think Halo needs its controller community to ever have a chance of existing even as an esport.

Thats why they need to find a better spot where both can exist together. Better than it does.

But you are right , but ateleast they can have both of their own cons and pros. Some athelets now has smaller magnets than before , but they still ahve lack of shoes like the other atheletes (MNK). Because MNK does still have advantages that controller doesnt, alot actually. Thats why aim assist only need small adjustments.

But u right mate, its never gonna be equal . But its either that or nothjing .Not perfect solution, but a better than what we have.

I dont even like playing controller vs controller anymore. So i cant imagine it being fun or rewarding for them either ? , it can be better .

And yes , u are so right wih MNK having lots of advantages that controllers dont . But the gunfights controllers thrives imo, and thats big part of halo.

But theres of course a question of accessbility for casuals. Its important. Maybe they could tune AA down for ranked playlists only.

They didn’t nerf aim assist in Apex Legends though.

I play on Xbox, and I know for a fact Aim Assist is none existent for me. I can leave my cross hair in one spot, have an enemy move close to, or even pass through my cross hair, and my cross hair WILL NOT adjust; it stays put. When I ADS? My cross hair does not adjust. Wherever my placement was at the time I ads, is where it’s at when I’m fully zoomed.

You might need to be holding a looking input for the crosshair to move. Just standing still or only walking doesn’t trigger it.

If a player needs to be holding a look input to trigger Aim Assist, how could one tell if Aim Assist is active or not? Aim Assist, doesn’t Aim on the enemy(that’s Aim Bot), it just tracks the players movement. Also if you have to be sprinting instead of walking, than Aim Assist would not help a player with this games sprint to fire delay.

Aim Assist is different on PC than it is on Console. It is turned up way-too-high so you can not be handicapped when compared to M&K players. AA on the PC version is more akin to Aim-Lock.

Aim Assist on console is weaker and just makes your character slow their speed slightly when the reticle crosses a hitbox that is within range for the weapon (save for sniper guns).

If they turned the small amount of aim assist that currently exists for controller MnK would have an infinitely larger advantages. It’s like saying , why don’t they turn down the sensitivity of the mouse so they can scroll fast, and the keys so they can’t strafe quickly.

Same I’m on console and haven’t had aim assist since they released the full mp back in November

Yeah both Controller and KBM can be placed in the same matches but that only happens when 1 person in your private lobby is on KBM then it puts you into KBM servers. When its a full controller private lobby only Xbox and Playstation match eachother in servers on Apex.

if this is true, can you do a custom game with bots and upload a video from your Xbox showing us your AA not working?
