I’ve seen the aim assist in this game, and it’s not ā€œOPā€. Yes, there is a major difference between having AA and not having it, but let’s compare it to a game like Destiny 2. Destiny 2 aim assist will literally track a target across the screen.

so does infinite. There are videos everywhere about it. I dont want mouse to dominate but there needs to be a parity between the inputs and right now it is OP AF and the only way to deny that is to ignore the statistics and close your eyes and ears while going ā€œlallalalalala im not listeningā€ā€¦

Also destiny 2 isnt really a competitive Esports title.

honestly i think some videos/clips showing aim assist being super OP are faked or something. i went into infinite wanting to play M&K and am trying controller as well and aim-assist is nowhere near as strong as it is on MCC. yes, the stats show controller dominates accuracy but i think a lot of that has to do with the fact most of the people in platinum 6 and above, what the guy who made the top 100 and 50th percentile stats used, have probably been using controller for many many years. plus, tracking shots is not something M&K players are used to since most FPS games have a lot quicker time to kill.
i do think there could be something done to held even the field, but maybe M&K players just need time to get used to this kind of game.
one idea i had was to maybe buff bullet magnetism for M&K which would help tracking with the really quick strafe speeds. maybe even nerf controller bullet mag but keep aim-assist where it is but idk enough to suggest that

if it was ā€˜ā€˜op’’ then everyone would use it

I would even say it is under powered when all it takes is jumping and you lose it.

Appearantly there is a lot of difference between aim assist on controller Console and controller PC. PC has more aim assist for some reason. I’m very curious what percentage of controller users in that graph are on PC and what percentage are on Console. I play on console and don’t feel there is OP aim assist. I have my sensitivity a lot lower than on other FPS games, because I keep slipping over enemies bodies and heads.

Also, both M&K and controller have the same amount of bullet magnetism. It is the reticle friction that is not on M&K and is there on Controller. Fallout Plays (YouTube) tested this a while back with some friends who play controller and M&K. ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjEmIxmdFhI&t=2s

Before 343i nerfs aim assist in general, they need to figure out why there is a difference between controller on PC and controller on Console and fix that first before console players get shafted.

Lol I’m on series x and have ZERO aim assist. Pc with controller has more AA then console does.

This is literally the worst it has ever been and it outright stops working almost all of the time in combat

Uhhh…as a controller user on pc I have to say that the aim assist is practically non-existent. I have played every Halo, and when I first fired this one up I couldn’t hit the broadside of the proverbial barn.

And to make things worse, you practically have to have a technical degree to adjust the controller settings so you can hit anything at all. I had to do a quite a bit of research and trial and error to get my own personal settings.

Maybe mouse aiming needs more aim assist? I really couldn’t say. But if they turn down pc controller aim assist I’m going to have to give the game up.

This is a frequent complaint and I felt that I had this problem. Others have described the aim as being jumpy or just ā€œtaking offā€ on them.

Max Input Threshold is the culprit here. Turn that mf’er down! Turn it all the way down if you have to.

I watched quite a few videos and read a lot of forum posts until finding a player that said this. It was good advice.

Huh… I know what aim assist looks like, and I haven’t seen it on my end.

The aim assist is not overpowered by any means.

Quit trying to ruin the experience for other players.

Oh it’s not the input threshold, at least on my end. I spent a load of time messing with all the sensitivity options, and even went back and lowered them further because it still felt off

Right because the statistics and video proof is all wrong and your anecdotal word of mouth is what we should all believe.

Yeah we don’t owe you any time or due diligence. We personally don’t believe aim assist on console is OP and so we will publicize that we are ok with how it is. The end. Best of luck to whoever convinces the devs.
