my internet is fine because I have gotten a few games with out lag. but there are a lot of games where even with the setting set to focused I get into games when some one has bad internet and affects the entire battle. please make match making more picky about this! I rather wait awhile to match up with players than to have to deal with insane lag that ruins my gameplay experience.
Searching on Focused just ensures that you personally will connect to a nearby server, thus meaning you should experience less latency issues with the server. However, far away players can still connect to that same server by searching on Expanded, meaning their latency will be higher than yours. To restrict this would likely result in this players not being able to find games at all, as they’re generally searching on Expanded because they can’t find any games on nearby servers.
The matchmaker has to balance being picky with being open.
