So I am a die hard halo fan who was like everybody else happy they put in a new ranking system. 343 did a great job except for one simple thing. The join session in progress breaks the -Yoink- out of the ranking system.
When you join a game late and your already losing by 20 kills because your team sucked. Even if you get a good K/D you’ll be on the bottom of the scoreboard because you simply didn’t have enough time to get kills.
I have been trying to get my 50 in SWAT but every third game I join mid-session and my team is losing 300-100 or some -Yoink- like that. I’ll end up positive and close the 20 kill gap but always still end up losing and my 48 that took me days to get drops to a 42 because it thinks I was in the game the whole time. This has happened to me over 10 times now that I have ranked down more than 5 ranks because of me joining late and my team is getting killed.
343 do something about joiners where they don’t get penalized as much or something for losing when they join a game that’s over before you even join it
