Fix the Halo Infinite Social Experience

The social experience is arguably the most important part of Halo. Infinite REALLY needs to fix it to succeed. Here are my suggestions based on what is in the game right now (and what needs to be added):

  1. Playlists:

Weekly Featured Playlist: Infection, Grifball, Escalation Slayer, Last Spartan Standing, etc. (Also any events could use this playlist)

Quickplay (4v4): Slayer, Strongholds, Attrition, King of the Hill, One Flag, Land Grab, Oddball, etc.

Team Slayer (4v4)

Team Snipers (4v4): S7 Snipers Only

Action Sack (4v4): Fiesta, Ninja Slayer, Skockets, Shottys and Snipers, Pit of Joy, etc. (Any non traditional modes such as the rumoured upcoming turbo slayer)

Tactical Slayer (4v4): BR SWAT

Team Doubles (2v2): Slayer, KotH, Dodgeball, CtF, Oddball, Snipers (S7s Only), Fiesta, Ninja Slayer, Skockets.

Rumble Pit (8 Player): Slayer, Vampireball, Fiesta, Snipers (S7s Only), Escalation Slayer, One in the Chamber.

Big Team Battle (12v12): Slayer, Stockpile, CtF, Snipers, Skockets, Ninja Slayer, etc.

  1. Matchmaking:

All Social Playlists should allow fireteams to play together (including Rumble Pit).

All Social Playlists should have MUCH looser skill based matchmaking than they currently do. Social is meant to be simple, casual fun. Let people play with friends. Let people play with a wider range of skill levels (above and below them), stop pushing for social to feel so competitive.

  1. Non Gameplay Social Features:

Pregame lobbies
Map Veto
Party Up
Service Records
Report Function
etc.

There’s obviously more I could add to this list but I think this would make the social side of Infinite FAR better. Forge and Customs Browser will also greatly boost the social side of the game too.

Sounds great that people want this. Grab some friends and enable some team speak so we can all team up in matches and dominate games. Even oddball is fun as we share the ball while three others protect the ball carrier.

Going to be a blast to play now!

How can a AAA online multiplayer title be considered social when it even lacks the most basic of features - Chatting.

Most games I play today majority of the player bases never. The gaming community has really changed from 10-15 years ago.

I din’t think most would bother chatting even if on by default.

It might help, but there’s a good chance it won’t do much.

The problem is the “above them” doesn’t really happen all that often for the good players. And when it does it’s nowhere as far “above” as it is “below”.

Nope. It would be unfair for solo players.

More of this.

You can’t expect players to run around on the same maps and in the same game formats as ranked and expect them not to play the same. ie. Sweaty.

Personally I want multi teams. 3v3v3. The extra player and constantly being outnumbered 2:1 adds all the chaos you need to keep it chill.

Okay, cool, that would be nice. But why not -even better- 8vs8vs8 in big maps? We’re in 2022, we should be having something better than what we had long ago in the past (we didn’t have 3vs3vs3 in Halo because no one bothered to implement it, but the tech would have easily allowed for it 20 years ago). It would also minimize complaints about ending up playing with unskilled team mates.

Small AND big multi teams (e,.g. of 3 and 8) would be even better.

No way to party up with recent players in-game
No way to send FR in-game
Its like the game is on the spectrum & I don’t say that jokingly or mockingly as I suffer from issues myself & this games lack of functions to connect makes socialising within it harder for many & mainly leads to a lonely frustrating gaming experience, more so if you play via steam & rarely have the xbox app open.

it appears that you have played the other halo games, one could say you posted relics of a bygone era,… one where people could socialize without wearing 20lbs of bubble wrap… best of luck friend i agree 100%

Split Team Slayer into an AR start playlist and a BR start playlist.
Or at least give Ranked more modes.

The BR start camp hates AR starts, and the AR start camp hates BR starts. It shouldn’t be a cointoss for who has a worse time.
