I was enjoying this game until constant crashes near the end of halo
CE anniversary . Crashed 3 times non stop during the course of later
levels . About half way through . On co-op . The main affected levels
were two betrayals , Keyes and the maw . If you can’t even get the
first game to work that’s 14 years old . I have no faith in anymore of
your products if halo 5 sucks worse than this give the -Yoinking!- series
back to bungie you -Yoinks!- . 21.3 gb of updates on a 500gb hardrive
is a large amount to not even have an affect on the campaign . Stop
fixing the multiplayer its fine . Fix the core game once again you
gone -Yoinked!- it up worse than Microsoft themselves at e3. Your
sincerely . A very angry loyal fan for 14 years
theres so much wrong with this post i dont know where to start.
ok 1. 343i owns halo and will probably hold it for a while longer, Bungie don’t want halo back as they got rid of it in the first place so sorry, they are not coming back
2. the newer games do work better than the oldest ones as it’s harder to port older crap from 14 years ago to a brand new console they’re still figuring out
3. memory on XB1 really means nothing on a 500 GB hard drive as all it takes is maybe a dozen games to eat up all that memory so just because an update is worth a lot of memory doesn’t exactly mean it should fix things.
4. were you here when the game first launched? it was in a much worse state than it is now
5. 343i is part of Microsoft so they’re both the same people
6. the core of the MCC isn’t the campaign, hate to tell you it’s the multiplayer. I’m a campaign lover too but MCC advertised a lot of multiplayer and that’s where majority of the complaints are
7. also note that if you’re doing online co-op you may as well not try or just fight through it as it’s very buggy, I’ve yet to see split screen errors for me and my friend as of today so far.
8. why would h5 be in a state like the MCC? h5 is on a much lower scale compared to MCC, and do you think 343i could take another large hit at their reputation by -Yoinking!- up another AAA title back to back with MCC and a halo name?
done with all of that. I agree it needs fixing, we all know that and we were ripped off when we bought this game. it has however improved and it will continue to improve. 343i is something most of us will have to just deal with, they’re not going anywhere and I honestly think MCC taught them a big lesson as well as h4 as it’s helping them see what we do and don’t want in h5. halo is in a new era and I actually look forward to it from both story and multiplayer sides. there’s going to be hiccups but it’ll pass. MCC to me was 343i just taking more than they could handle. there was so many ways they could’ve gone about it such as delaying it if they had to, to fix the bugs and such, or even releasing each game individually so that it wasn’t all crammed together. communication from them would’ve also greatly improved relations with the disappointed fan base as some people don’t like being left in the dark. I seriously think these last two games have taught them a lot and things can only get better from here on out, hopefully. still I feel your pain about the MCC and all the issues with and.
I have had this game since the release and I have yet to have a co-op game completely crash on me. Is this “crash” maybe caused by lag? I have confirmed with two different accounts on a single XboxOne no co-op crash, I have played different co-op games over XBL and have yet to experience a crash mainly played on The Maw as mentioned.
The only time I experience a “crash” is when I power down my console w/o quitting the game.
There have been some MM issues where when a game is “loading” for most players there is one player going around and killing the non-moving players (people stuck on loading…) I have confirmed this as well.
Another issue was when I start MM and it is about to start a game it will go to a splash screen that just says “title”.
Are these similar from your co-op “crash?”
Also I understand how you would lose integrity in the Halo series, TMCC was premature to say the least. Halo 5 is actually tested over XBL and not an internal network. That’s like owning a copy of GTA V and saying you will not play online because GTA IV wasn’t good online and had too many bugs.
The multiplayer will be “fine” when I can actually find matches.
I bought this game at launch . The campaign worked fined , now it seems to crash all the time half way through missions , the only bug I encountered was in halo 3 . All I mean was at least when bungie had it it was stable . When I phoned Microsoft they admitted this game was rushed out door that it was "unfinished ’ with a system seller such as halo I expect a working game at launch.
The crashes occur for me on 2 player co-op on the same Xbox one for me . We tryed played multiplayer campaign on halo 4 and the lag was so unbearable we could barely move . I don’t play halo for its multiplayer I only started playing online at halo 4 when I upgraded my 360 . The campaign has been the most important thing since the original to me . My frustration is when playing on legendary and u get close to beating the level and it crashes .
A loud beeping noise occurs the game freezes and the game closes returning to the dashboard when it crashes

343i doesn’t own it microsoft could easily pass it on to another dev
They could a developer like Dice would work since there bringing back my childhood favorite Star wars battlefront or just someone who can handle the sheer scale of halo and the standard we expect
The way the game was advertised in Scotland was the campaign was the focus "the seeds of his future and in his past " the focus was on halo 2 . As it should of been . I believe the MCC couldve been avoided if they just did what fans wanted originally a remastered version of 2 . Or just a 4 disc collection
