Fix The Betrayal System!!!!

The betrayal system is flawed and its intention is to remove players who “intentionally” betray their own teammates. But it’s kind of hard to not betray a teammate that jumps in front of your wraith while you are going 200+ MPH. It’s also hard to not betray your teammate that is throwing plasma grenades at your tank/wraith so he can antagonize you into betraying him so he can have your tank.

It is also hard to not betray your teammate when you have a sniper rifle and your teammate runs in front of you and you headshot him, (yes, this has happened multiple times before /facepalm). It is also hard to not betray your teammate when there is a betrayal system on an 8v8 gametypes called Big Team Battle, which is beyond me why they even added betraying on that playlist.

Furthermore, it is hard not to betray your teammate when you pick up a sniper rifle and they are shooting you multiple times to try to get said weapon. What am I supposed to do? Let him betray me? Lol. I’ll waste a few shots to keep the sniper! It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the betrayal system is flawed. Maybe ey know it’s flawed and don’t want to fix it, kind of like the stats that have been frozen for a week straight,

Oh, and it would help if you guys can fix the bug that’s been on reach for a few months, maybe even years: when you get into a helicopter, and are the pilot, and you get lasers by the enemy, and you helicopter blows up, it will say you have betrayed your teammate who is in the gunner seat, but this only happens if the pilot gets lasered!! (And yea this has happened before, and I have been booted by my own teammate for getting lasered by the enemy).

Heck, if your going to add betrayal booting in an 8v8 gametype, you might as well throw it in on grifball and see how many people are playing that playlist after a month. My guess would be, only the people that are boosting on the playlist lol I hope this was enough to convince you guys that the betrayal system is flawed, because I think we all know the answer to that question :slight_smile:

Best part about the betrayal system is it always boots you when you accidentally betray a teammate, almost everytime!!! I got betrayed by he same person 3 times In a row, and I had no option to boot him, I betrayed him ONE TIME, and I get the boot. I sometimes feel like this betrayal system is trying to troll me. I don’t think it was this bad on halo 3 lol.

Got betrayed by the same person 3 times in a row on big team battle. When I betrayed him ONE time I got booted. Please fix this dumb system it makes no sense to have a betrayal system that favors agitators on halo:reach.

Wow this betrayal system is such -Yoink-, I’ll probably get a week suspension for saying that, but this system sucks so much!!! How is it when u get betrayed twice, u betray them and u get booted? Whoever made this betrayal system is a fail!

Hey man, yes the booting system can be fairly annoying at times, but there is no way it will be changed, it’s been out for nearly 4 years, if they were going to fix it, it’s long overdue. Saying fix it, will not change that.

At this point, removing it would be the better option lol there is so much nonsense that goes on when teammates attack each other… Might as well let them fight it out, kind of like grifball. Either way though, the betrayal system doesn’t work properly.

  1. Play in a party with friends, not with randoms.

  2. Find a perch to snipe from where your teammates can’t easily get in your way. If they start shooting you for it, just unload the clip so no one gets it (this is a parental tactic called “take the toy away from the crying baby”). Then get used to the fact that you just have to kill with something else.

  3. Don’t fly the Falcon unless you know your team has the laser. Otherwise its a deathtrap and an easy double/triple kill for the enemy.

  4. Don’t boost the Wraith into teammates. This may take practice. For trolls that shoot your wraith… Screw it, do this:
    a. Wait until your Wraith is on fire.
    b. Betray the troll
    c. Get out and T-bag your troll while shooting him in the face with your AR. Continue until he respawns and comes to get you.
    d. Blow up your Wraith with a grenade before he can get to it. Continue T-bagging until he betrays you. Use your headset to taunt him, belittle him, and challenge his manhood. Laugh a lot.
    e. Jump around while he tries to betray you some more. If he gets killed by an enemy, repeat T-bag motion while asking him if he is comfortable in that position (use colorful adjectives and analogies referencing ice-cream, cheese, warm bread, etc. - this is your chance to be original and creative).

Repeat above steps until you get the option to boot him.

  1. Maybe don’t bump threads when no one replies. Dude, we have heard all of this before and it will never change (crossing fingers for Reach Anniversary in 2020 - yeah baby!).

Sorry, but that’s the way it is. So just do what I do and turn it into some fun you’ll be proud to tell your friends about later. Its all we can do until they perfect the D-bag filter.
