Right now the min speed requirement to splatter somebody is pathetically low on the warthog and ghosts. All you need to do to splatter somebody is to move at about 1/5 of the maximum speed. I’ve seriously ran people over just by slightly moving sideways on a ghosts. That wont even drop your shields half ways in H3.

Sometimes i had the problem i would boost into them at full speed and they would take no damage, just flip my ghost…
Go play Halo CE, try splattering, and report back to me.
I have no qualms with splattering in Halo 4 other than friendly splattering. That, is ridiculous. Especially when it’s possible when friendly fire is off.
I’ve been not moving, had a lag spike which caused me to move sideways in my ghost and ended up betraying two of my teammates. All due to lag. YAY!
Yeah right splattering needs fixed in alot of ways…I was going full speed on shatter and probably pushed him about 20-30 feet. I hit him more to the side though with the part that sticks out on the ghost, but I was going at full speed and it didnt even knock out his damn shield and he killed me with a plasma.

That was always fun. Warthog launches were great, you’d go to set them up, hit a guy at .002 mph, and kill the bugger.
But at least that was local or LAN only. You never saw yourself dodge a vehicle by a good 10 feet, then still magically end up ‘splattered’ because the guy saw himself in a different place or something, or drive next to a teammate and have them die because they saw themselves in your path when you didn’t, etc.
I’ve got to say splattering seems to me to be about 95% what you’d expect, both in a vehicle and on foot, which is the best in any Halo so far.

You’ve obviously never played Halo 1 nor Halo 3 if you think splattering is easy in this game. I splattered people just by touching them in halo 1.
-
Often times I hit people full on boosting and they live.
-
Plasma pistol and the fact people can easily jump over both a ghost and a warthog.
Splattering DOES needs fixed in this game, but not in the way you think it does.
I think splattering is all over the place. I’ve charged at full boost into a guy and slammed him into a wall and he barely flinched. I’ve plowed over groups of enemies in warthogs without netting a kill. And then there’s been times I nudged someone and they died.
Needs tweaking for sure.

This, this exactly, every letter.
i think it depends on how high their shields are and if theyre moving towards you, standing still or moving away. i also think that if they’re in the air the ammount of force needed to kill them is significantly lower as well.
what made me come to this conclusion was this example; a charging ghost can ram another ghost directly, but if the other ghost is backing up it wont damage it.
if someones got lowish shields and you strafe into them at close to top speed unboosted it’ll most likely kill them. if they’re moving away from you with full shields it probably wont.
i haven’t tested this stuff out as ramming people is a waste of time and will likely get my ghost killed… i do have over 500 kills with the ghost tho, if that means anything or helps the validity.

Ugh, nothing worse then getting nudged to death by a teammate in a Ghost.

Yeah, no kidding. Friendly splattering is waaayyyy too easy. Just bumping into someone lands you a betrayal.
I also think it’s kind of lame how easy it is for Ghosts to splatter people just by moving sideways. It makes it almsot impossible to board them with a Plasma Pistol.
I hate the wraith. If a wraith moves even an inch while you’re trying to board it youll get splattered which is ridiculous. Ive even gotten double kills from barely bumping into people while moving sideways in the thing and in some cases Ill get splatters on people I didnt even see coming up beside me or behind me while I was focused elsewhere. It just seems ridiculous how easy it is to splatter people with it when you’re only crawling around at 2 mph.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about the Wraith. Again, it’s almost impossible to board it without a Plasma Pistol. Even if you get the drop on them, all it has to do is move, and you die.

Why don’t you go do that?

Not even the part when you hit an enemy player while traveling full speed and all it does is change your direction?

I think its pretty sad that I get more accidental splatters with the wraith than I do intentional splatters with any other vehicle in the game.
spartans are supposed to be these huge ‘tank like’ guys. im cool with splatters. but having it so that you damage a vehicle when they run you over (and potentially blow up, if they are already damaged enough) would be nice. You hit a deer with your car/truck…its goin in the shop. no question about it. if you hit a spartan it should at least do some damage to the warthog/ghost.
bump… Betrayal…Booted from game.
