So i won 3 out of my 10 qualifying. probably averaging a kd ratio of .5 because i live in canada and not in america so im laging on all my games. So not only are the azure servers a disapointment for people outside of the U.S. the game ranks me at platinum.

Anyways, I won 8 out of my qualifying matches and got Platinum as well. So I see where you’re coming from.

We are all in this together! Gameplay affects everyone. I feel sorry for people in europe and south america. They have trouble even getting into matches. Whats retarded is that i dont lag in btb or warzone.

This is a 1-50 rank system with names instead of numbers. 1-10 is Bronze, 10-20 is Silver, 20-30 is Gold, 30-40 is Platinum, 40-49 is Diamond, and 50+ would be Onyx. However, players who would have just been a 50 in past games, now have even higher numbers to reach for with the CSR showing…with the added possibility of placing top 200 as a Champion.

I don’t want to be in Onyx. Heck, I don’t want to be in Gold.('im in Gold). I want to be at the very bottom. I feel if I was put there, I would win a lot more before reaching where I would end up. If they had casua/social gametypes, I would pay that. I really want Action Sack. But it appears to be way down the list of priorities for 343.

But you win 50% of your games and have a pretty average K/D for your rank…Why would you want to be lower and not have to fight people closer to your skill?
Some people say qualifiers are based on what rank your opponents’ have. So theoretically it’s entirely possible to lose a vast majority of matches and still get a high rank. As long as those you won against were high rank and those you lost to were quite a lot higher.
Then again, I’m of the opinion that you shouldn’t be able to get any higher than platinum through qualifiers, from there you’d be able to work your way up.

Lower for sure. I rather move up from the bottom and earn my rank properly.
The qualifying matches is definitely a combination of KDA + who you beat. I’ve played all 10 doubles placement matches with a buddy before, won 9/10, he had a 5.5 KDA and got Diamond 1, I had a 3.2 KDA and got Platinum 1. Same thing happened to us in BTB, same exact games/wins, yet he got placed in a higher division and had a slightly higher KDA.
I feel the opposite OP. I wish I would have been ranked higher for Team Arena. Only won 2 of 10 though lol. My teammates kept quitting so it was very hard to win matches. Kept my K/D at least 2 though and got Bronze. Working my way up now. Big big difference between my bronze in team Arena and Platinum in slayer.
I have no idea how the qualifying ranking works. I literally took one of the game types in arena (Slayer I think) and played all 10 games as a complete noob, just committing suicides, shooting at people’s feet, standing still and doing nothing. The lowest possible rank I could get was a mid Silver! I have no idea how I would go about getting bronze.
I don’t like the idea of leveling from 1. Then it just turns into a grindfest. The way the ranking works now keeps leveling fresh with the inclusion of seasons.

Yeah but you can’t leave the rank you qualified in from what I hear. So lets say no matter how bad you played and no matter how many games you lost even if you qualified Platinum 1 you would be stuck at platinum 1. I am a bit confused by the rank system too. Did all 10 matches in FFA and only won one match I think and qualified Platinum 6. Lower than I wanted but I am really no good at FFA.

Not everywhere outside the US. The azure servers here in Australia are working fine. We just need more population here and we are golden. I just accept that it’s not perfect outside NA yet as Xbox isn’t that big in some other regions of the world.
I’m confused… What about the ranking system is broken? Everything you just described about your placement seems to be spot-on and working correctly.

How when i won 3 out of 10 games and majority of those games i was getting 3 to 5 kills and 15 deaths. I should have been a bronze. Now im stuck playing good aponents and i will continue to see my kd at arround 0.3. That takes away the “fun” out of playing. Gets very frustrating and i cant rank down. Its also not fare for the good players that i get teamed up with.
