Topic title says it all. There should be no reason that multiple champion teams searching at the same time cannot find each other. Something needs to be tweaked to ensure that teams with similar CSR are paired up with each other instead of playing against MUCH lower players. I understood the “population is low” arguments when increasing search radius caused champs to be matched with low level players, but now even quick searches throw me into games with golds when there’s other champions searching at the same time. This needs to be addressed before players lose interest in matchmaking. There’s only so many “quick search” 1 point CSR wins I can take before becoming extremely bored with the game altogether.

343 doesn’t care about halo wars 2 anymore and are to lazy to fix the game.
They just need an advanced option to not expand search radius. I think most, in fact perhaps even all, average and above players are willing to wait a few minutes in an RTS game for a good match.

The problem is that the search never gets to “increasing search radius” anymore. 9/10 games are a quick search which used to mean you were playing someone within your CSR range. Now out of those 9 games MAYBE 1 of those games is against champ players. The old system that allowed players to back out of the search and restart it in order to quick search was far superior than the current system which throws you into a game super quick regardless of CSR. This leads to boring, repetitive quick games against players who give no CSR.
100 percent agree. Sniping teams has been a pain. Then i just gotta fully rush some golds while they rush theyre golds just to try again. Not fun for anyone.

This. The current matchmaking system also allows for players to create low-CSR smurf accounts and search out other high-level players to purposely destroy their hard-earned and grinded for CSR that took them 20 games to get. Not only that, there are no seasonal rewards or accomplishments for reaching champion rank in matchmaking. Grinding for 1 CSR for fun each game and losing 25+ to a smurf is very disheartening.
Stop playing matchmaking and only play customs. Stop using the broken system until they fix it
