I just invested 100’s of hours into an elaborate map in forge. I saved it without including a respawn point, then died, and now it’s frozen.
My map, and all my hard work is wasted. And this is extremely demotivating, having a fear of my work being deleted, or ruined.
343 dropped the ball with MCC and its Forge. I crossed my fingers they wouldn’t do it again, but they botched this one too. 
Will 343 please release a patch that includes a repair to this glitch?
Same exact thing happened to me on a couple maps -.-
I have the same problem, it’s annoying especially when I just got all of the damn scripts working
It’s a known issue since forge dropped. How hard is it for you to place a spawn point? Stop crying about your mistakes, they will probably have it fixed in the next update so for now place a spawn point when you start a new map.
Have a player join you mid game. The problem persists because forge does not use initial spawn points. Arena uses initial and respawn. In games where players will not be respawning, why place anything but respawn? It’s a dumb bug that should be super easy to fix, but 343 doesn’t care.
Maybe I’m lucky but I actually went to the space map and deleted everything and started working from there and I spawn/respawn no problem. However, I discovered that other people can’t spawn if they join me.

My buddy made this for those having issues with the spawning while in forge. Pass this around for everyone to watch please. There was an official thread made but it apparently got knocked off the face of the forums because of everyone else’s problems.

The video doesn’t really help with saving the map that has the glitch. It seems like that if this is happening in your forge the map is done for, I dont see why the forge mode only lets you spawn on respawn points and not any initial spawn points.

How bout you not be a -Yoink- bag?
Forge has always had hidden respawn points so you can Forge without worrying about them getting in your way. So when they mess up, it’s not the forger’s fault.

Even when you you place spawn points it till happens. How do I know? Because every map I made before gom with spawn points on them have this glitch while my new maps don’t.

TEN MONTHS later, the same problem is still an issue. I spent maybe 30-40 hours on a map that even impressed me by my forging standards and I can’t spawn in. I have working initial spawns and respawns. This error occurred yesterday out of no where on my map I built on Alpine. In the morning I could spawn in and work with it. In the afternoon I couldn’t spawn in. Ridiculous… This problem has been going on for so long and has not been fixed. Well 343 needs to fix this issue before it hits one year anniversary of being a nuisance to forgers who they want more of. Kind of hard to get more of something when they are discouraged by major things like not this.
