Seriously starting to get annoying being paired up with low level players. Why would level 50’s ever play with/against people under level 10?! This game is so dumb. That is such an easy fix. Three level 50’s vs two level 20’s and me, wow.

The matchaking skill-matching system is very broken. I regularly match against players I should’ve never been facing. It is likely a result of low player populations, but something does need to be done.
Could be a combination of low population and the three 50s being in a party.

If we had a higher playerbase then no, it wouldn’t. But if lower-level players are the only ones available then it’s your only option. Unless you want crazy long wait times.

That is called an outlier. With that logic you could infer that all 50’s are trash, which isn’t true. Why does everyone try to strawman discussions on here?! We have all beat 50’s, but for the bulk of the time a level 50 is better than someone under rank 20. Agree or disagree?
your playing vs 3 50s bc this game combines people searching alone and people searching as a team.
so the people you got on your team were also searching alone.
I think its bc they brought h5s matchmaking system over bc the same problems are in that game too.
its ridiculously how this matchmaking works im in diamond but yet im getting placed in matches with the top 20 champions

No not at all. In HW1, everyone would think generals were good. When in many cases generals were not that good. CSR>>Rank. Rank just means you played X amount of games and gained X amount of XP.
Further, I do agree that something has to be done matching players CSR better. I either play against players beneath my CSR level, making it difficult to know if my strategies are refined enough or not, or I am playing against high CSR ranked players (Onyx or Diamond compared to my measly Plat 1).

That is what I am trying to say! When I was level 47 in onyx I was playing against level 10 silvers. The matchmaking is so lopsided and unpredictable.
I think rank plays a huge part though, because it shows how much time and effort you have put into the game and more often than not someone with more time invested will be better. So I think there is a huge difference between people level 20 and under, and people that are maxed out.

Yes that’s right, but your OP was not 100% clear on whether you meant XP rank or Skill rank. Example, there are silver/gold/platinum rank 30-40s while lower XP ranks can also get that high skill rank. Remember, new players could have played more complex RTS games and may find this game quick and easy to understand (just an example).
