I don’t know what the deal is, but if you expect prior champion and onyx players to place well and be able to keep their sponsorship, I would recommend fixing this -Yoinking!- Matchmaking tier placement. Just because you win 4 out of 10 games doesn’t mean. You get placed in Platinum. With a kda of 17.8 averaging 14 kills a game and carrying in each one, we get placed in Platinum 1. Are you -Yoinking!- kidding me? This is the third season in a row this has happened. And you guys wonder why people don’t play after they place in the seasons. Matches on should only factor in if the tier players you are playing with actually are to the caliber you are supposed to play. Place me and friends in a gold and silver tier where we decimate but lose because of -Yoink- teammates and we get placed in the same division they are in? Need to get y’all’s -Yoink- fixed. This may go unnoticed and developers could give two -Yoink- less. But check the broadcastings for Halo, check the ratings compared to other FPS. Need to fix this. How do players get better when you match them up with onyx and champ tier players to get their -Yoink- pushed in? Trash Matchmaking

Real talk. If you want to make a change, formulate a real objection to the new ranking system, offer some supporting facts, gain a little support from others experiencing the same problem, and THEN make your case. Simply ranting will get you nowhere if you actually want to make a difference.
So firstly, I recommend reading through the matchmaking feedbacks that a 343 employee has provided us with. I’m very certain that it is not 343i’s job to allow more people into higher ranks to maintain sponsorships. This is just plain silly. If you can’t earn high ranks, you haven’t earned high ranks. Full stop.

You lost me again here. I’m guessing you’re referring to your SWAT matches? Your information is publicly available in your profile and nothing you said was correct. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/service-records/arena/players/i%20am%20fr0g Shows your kd was 1.562 not 17.8. You won 3 out of 10, and the highest ranked opponent that you beat was a Plat 4. The rest were golds and plat 1s. Note that there is nothing wrong or embarrassing about ranks, but… when you beat Golds and Plat 1s I would expect to be ranked in the ballpark of Plat 1. That’s just logic. And again, I’m not calling you bad or anything, I’m just really confused as to why you believe you are due a higher rank.

I mean, this sounds like you’re where you should be then. If you’re routinely placing in the Platinum division but are an Onyx caliber player, you should be able to cruise through the ranks with ease.
However.
If you’re ending the seasons in Plat and then placing Plat next season, it sounds like you’re a solid Plat level player to me.

In short, I think your perception of your skill is slightly skewed. That’s fine, we’re all naturally inclined to want to believe the best of ourselves but most of the games in y our history that I’ve seen, you’ve been playing Golds/Plats and have lost several to Gold tier players. You aren’t playing like an Onyx player which is why you aren’t in the Onyx ranks.

I mean. You aren’t playing Onyx/Champ kids so I’m not sure what the issue here even is.
