Fix Leaving/DCing Ranked Issues

Ranked matches for 4v4 can have issues when a player fails to connect before the match, or disconnects during the match. Even one player disconnecting at any point ruins the fun in the game for both teams. There needs to be changes to resolve these issues.

BEFORE THE MATCH STARTS
CS:GO, Rocket League and other games have a literal system in place so if the match hasn’t started and a player DCed before the match starts, the match is cancelled. Why does Halo Infinite not have something like this in place? This is something CS:GO and Rocket League has had for A VERY LONG TIME.

RAGE QUITTING ISSUE
In the event a player does rage quit during the match, a team should be given a prompt to "Surrender. If all players remaining on the team “Vote to surrender”, the match ends and the opposing team wins so everyone can just que into the next game. It shouldn’t be an automatic forfeit if a player leaves, since maybe for some reason a Team of 3 might think they can still win a game. But we should at least be given the chance to end the game without leaving ourselves, or just wasting another 10 minutes of getting outnumbered 3 to 4.

Random Disconnect / Re-Connect
CS:GO and Rocket League also has a system in place so if you disconnect in a ranked match, you are able to reconnect. Especially since Infinite is not the most “stable game” at the moment in terms of performance, and random bugs will always cause players to crash in some cases, being given the option to rejoin the game will be very beneficial to players who did not intend to leave, but got forced out of the lobby.

Match Pause for HCS / Custom Games
Since we’ve seen issues during even HCS Lan Events of players disconnecting… something that might be very helpful is a “Pause the match” feature if a player disconnects OR if the Host force pauses the match, rather than forcing the entire lobby to reset. Would probably save more time and would be better for these huge eSport tournaments, and also be helpful to the community in Custom Games if they wanted to have some sort of “Tactical Timeout” or “Match Pause” feature.

These are issues that can be avoided if these features are put in place. It doesn’t need to be provided for BTB or Casual matches since those have Bots to replace them, but for something like Ranked, HCS, or even Custom Games this could be very helpful if these are implemented in the very near future like other “Competitive Games” like CS:GO and Rocket League.

There is a scuffed rejoin method that exists. In social if you DC in a game while partied up but rejoin your friend’s game before someone takes the bot’s place you can “reconnect” to the match. It’s actually possible BUT THEY DON’T WANT TO IMPLEMENT IT. I know this because at some point my game kept crashing and I had to keep doing this to rejoin my friends

Could possibly just hold the match till it can replace the person who disconnected first. Give it say 20-40 seconds then cancel the match if it fails to find anyone.
