So my playlist glitched and borked, and could no longer resume my LASO playlist on Halo Reach for PC on MCC from Xbox Game Pass
I had tried all number of things that I had found on here, and didnt have an xbox atm so I couldnt use splitscreen (since pc doesnt have it yet :()
there is one way if you have an SSD or fast pc, to spam ESC then try to hit restart but its stupid difficult to do and I gave up.
Today I stumbled upon this GOAT post on reddit… it fixed my issue but there is a caveat it will restart the mission but at least you dont have to restart the entire playlist.
Here is the link - https://www.reddit.com/r/halo/comments/em9g2z/help_long_night_of_solace_wont_load_on_laso_but/fdnctab/
if this ever goes down I will paste the solution below anyways… Thanks to the reddit user @Viktor_77 for being a boss.
- Launch the game. Pretty sure you need the game open because you need to trick it into ignoring your broken checkpoint save. Just be in the main menu at least. - Alt-Tab and go to ‘This PC’ - You need to be able to see hidden files and folders on your PC. To enable this, go to the ‘View’ tab in the upper left corner of the explorer window. When you’ve clicked it, you should see an ‘Options’ tab on the right. Click on it to open a window called ‘Folder Options’. Select the ‘View’ tab. In the ‘Advanced Setting’ box you should see an option to ‘Show hidden files, folders and drives’. Select it, hit okay, and return to ‘This PC’ - Now that you can see hidden system folders, navigate yourself to this filepath:
C:\Users[Your Account Name Here]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Chelan_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs - In this folder you should see two folders. I’m not sure if they’re called something different on other people’s profiles, mine were called ‘0009000007947C03_77290100225E4768937398164430A9F8’ and ‘t’. Delete both of these. - Alt-Tab back into MCC. Go to the broken playlist and hit resume. In my case, this allowed me to start the broken mission from the beginning.
