Argh! Join in progress… great idea poorly implemented. I’ve right now just finished a game of BTB where I joined into an already in-progress game. Whilst I’m waiting to spawn I hear “Enemy team nearing victory” and I spawn with the enemy at 980 and my team at 620. Game immediately ends.
I didn’t even move. I looked around to get my bearings and the game ends.
JIP needs either fixing or removing as this is just an utter utter waste of time. It also screws my stats as I’m fairly sure that counts as a loss for me. JIP should have some basic rules, don’t allow a player to join in a game thats almost over for starters. That’s just common sense right?
I could have sworn that someone from 343i said that you would be able change settings so that you would join in progress but I can’t find anything in the war games for altering search priority.

This proposal sounds fair, but I personally would like to have the option to join a game in progress. Let’s just say that if half my team quit on me I would want replacements. Besides, situations such as the one the OP described happened all the time in other JIP games I played in the past. People who are losing quit, it’s nothing new.

I’m basicly this but joining a game almost over isn’t a big deal for me I mean free XP.
I don’t mind the idea of joining a game midway but theres just absolutely no point if the game is going to end literally within 10 seconds. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so frustrated with a video game before, its just an utter insane waste of time.

This game is starting to wind me up. At least I didn’t have enough game time to run out of ammo…
It just needs to go. It does not function on any level as it should. I played 4 games of koth today and not one of them started with full teams or even 2 teams. It’s ridiculous.

exactly. If 343 made it so the games you searched for were only just beginning or half way through then thats acceptable. not games that are 5-10 kills from being over. that is not fun

I feel your pain and i’m glad i’m not the only one that feels this way, it’s total crap.
