As many of you all know, the first phase of Invasion: Spire is spawncamping, Elites, hoarding needle rifles, active camo and needlers. While the Spartans have ARs, Sprint, and Magnums… If 343 would at least, remove the Needle Rifles from the first phase of Invasion: Spire, it would be so much better. Alternatively, they could give the Spartans DMRs. One DMR would make Spire a lot easier. OR they could make the tops of the rocks that the Elites ALWAYS camp on top of a soft kill barrier. OR they could make it so that everyone has at least 3 spawn locations in the first phase to prevent spawn camping. E.G. You could choose to spawn in the middle, left, or right side. That would get rid of the spawncamping. Or at least tone it down a little. Oh, and please make it so that the Banshee isn’t as accessable to the Spartans as it already is. The Elites have 1 anti vehicle weapon where as the Spartans Magnums/DMRs can take out the Banshee.
Does anyone else agree?
I play a lot of invasion now, and I think boneyard is the one that needs fixing, not spire. I like spire how it is.

Your missing the point. If you go up against a full party in invasion spire. you WILL be spawn trapped because elites have the height, needle rifles, active camo, and needlers while the Spartans only spawn in 2 locations. It is complete slaughter and it is almost impossible to win because you start at a HUGE disadvantage.
Okay then we should take away the dmr for boneyard till second phase too?
My brother and I spawn kill on this map when we are elites… But it goes both ways. Learn how to get out of it. Anyways, what are you doing playing invasion by yourself? Always have a team
I’d like to see 343o softkill the tops of the rocks, but leave the Needle Rifle in. This would allow the Elites to use ranged combat to deter the Spartans, but only from relatively exposed positions that the Spartans can actually counter with the Magnum.
This, plus removal of the Sword + Armor Lock loadout in Phase 3, would make Spire much more bearable.
I play a lot of invasion as well and I agree that the Invasion games do need some updates.

In the begining of both Spire and Boneyard, there needs to be more than one spawn point. This would help both attacking and defending teams. It would allow the attacking team to attack from different angles easier and it would be less likely that the attacking team would be spawn camped for kills. It also helps the Defending team by allowing them to spawn closer to which ever node is being attacked.

I think it would be a good idea if spartans had three DMRs they could pick up on Spire. The Elites have three needle rifles to pick up, so it would only be fair. Also in Boneyard the attacking elites can pick up three needle rifles, so for the attacking team on Spire to not be able to do that is kind of silly.

I think that the Spartans should have an AA that matches the Elites camoflauge just to make things a little bit more fair, just to mix it up a little bit. I don’t mean spartans should get AL in the first round, that is a little lame. I was thinking more along the lines of the deceiver AA.(The one that sends the fake clone, I’m not sure if that is what it’s called).
These are just my thoughts. I like Invasion as it is now for the most part, but these little tweaks would make the game a little bit more fair.

Accessible to Spartan? Elites have three spawns that are all about fifteen steps away from the spawn, if you allow a Spartan to take your Banshee you’re doing something wrong.

They have two needle rifles… Use proper teamwork and your pistols. You can drop an Elite in less than one sec if you coordinate your shots. The maps need to be designed for even matched teams. Don’t blame the map because of poor matchmaking.

Maybe, but the Spartans spawning near the Shotgun aren’t exactly miles away. Also, the Elites don’t have much cover, so the Spartans can easily Snipe the Elites. Your right, the Elites should get the Banshee, but it is far easier for the Spartans to take it than the Elites to take it back.
For first phase Spire, I think its fine. Maybe remove one of the Needle Rifles; I think three NRs is a bit excessive.
I think a team of Elites camping in the shadows waiting for assassinations is slightly more infuriating than getting shot at from across the map with a needle rifle.
There is lots of cover, use it.
I don’t want another boneyard, where actual parts of the map are softkills.

I’ve played full parties, half my team left, just me, my brother, and some other guy, we got to the last round, but 6 elites up top with sniper, rockets, and swords didn’t go very well. I like playing full parties, makes the game harder. (because I played a game yesterday where the highest person on the other team was like captian, I was the lowest on my team(field marshall))

Hologram is what you’re looking for.
The reason the elites have needle rifles on boneyard is beacuase they don’t start with a longish range weapon (magnum) if you give me a magnum, changes are I’ll be able to kill dmr’s.
In the mean time, get really good at using the magnum. Don’t listen to this person saying to use hologram. That is nonsense. Sprint is all you need, period.

Magnums are great.
Magnum is all I need, but just put about 2-3 DMRs at the rocks if people need them that badly.
Now a Ghost. That’s what Spire needs, especially in phase 2.
That and maybe swapping the Banshee for a Revenant…It’s more interesting for combat and it’s obvious the Banshee gets stolen a lot, so might as well not make it an automatic win button if it does.

Then they should put a tank in instead of a falcon?
I’m fine with the way Invasion is, but I’m still looking towards the update. It will supposedly be coming soon, apparently it is taking some time to make.
-_- You do realize that the Elites have needle rifles in the first phase of boneyard, right? In Spire, the Elites have needle rifles, while the Spartans have nothing except ARs and Magnums.

I realize all of that, and the way you win all depends on the players you get on your team and its impossible to do anything about that.
