Fix Halo 4 bloom.

I have been watching Halo 4 gameplay videos on youtube, and I think that the DMR and carbine need more bloom. It worries me that the kill times are under 2 seconds. I like Halo: Reach bloom. It was implemented correctly and really added to the skill level of the game overall. Pacing your shots is one of the key elements of any successful Halo game, and I’m worried that the faster bloom reset in H4 will make the kill times too fast. The bloom resets too quickly also. I think 343i will eventually have to increase the bloom and reset times to make them more in-line with the bloom we all know and love in Reach. This will serve 2 purposes: 1) add more random, fun aspects to rifle duels. 2) increase kill times to where we can enjoy other aspects of combat like grenades and melees. The more random the bloom is, the more skillful the game becomes. In a 1 v 1, you should never know which bullet will score the kill. I get so tired of all the whiners griping about bloom. It is the best addition to Halo yet, well, other than AAs.

Bloom is awful and does nothing but detract from the skill gap. It should never be implemented on precision weapons again. Halo 4 made the right decision in going back to a firerate cap instead of keeping god awful bloom.

Sorry, but you’re wrong bro. Bloom is in Halo 4. It only needs to be increased a bit. Hopefully, 343i will build off the success they saw from Reach and allow all precision weapons to bloom the reticle to the size of the shotgun’s.

i stopped reading right there

lol you’re absolutely awful at trolling. Unless you’re serious, then I genuinely feel bad for you.

And the DMR doesn’t really have bloom in Halo 4, it’s only there to prevent very long range shots. It has basically no effect at close range.

Random = fun/skill. Sorry, but you’re wrong. Those of us who are true Halo fans know how great bloom could be if it were increased to a level greater than in any game before. It might even break Reach’s online population then.

Is this guy serious?

Reach had properly implemented bloom?

You don’t want kill times under 2 seconds?

lol

No way. I want to get a kill when I start shooting at someone, not have to wait long enough for them to throw a nade at me and then beat me down. I see how you want the game to be played…

Gasp!

I agree with you Mila, it does take skill to use the DMR.

I don’t exactly agree with you man…

Bloom on Reach wasn’t implemented well. This looks to be a much better form of bloom.

EDIT: I have been told that this thread was made for comedy…damn :frowning:

Oh it’s a parody thread.

ok

wow people always have to complain about something. op im sorry and your entitled to ur opinion its just that many people have been complaining bout the same things over and over.

Many others do not want the bloom on any of the guns and some others want bloom on such a minor level like it is, myself included, that its good as is. Thanks for your opinion, but I disagree with increasing the bloom currently.

Dude, pong could beat reaches online population

Halo 2 and h3 both had higher populations

Reach maxes out at like 115000

If this isn’t a troll thread I think I will weep.
