I finally got the Master Chief Collection to work right! How did I do it? Follow the steps below–it was really simple and should help resolve all your issues of frustration!
Step 1: Pack The Master Chief Collection disk and all its manuals, wrapper, etc. back into the game box.
Step 2: Go back to where you purchased the game ( Mine was bought at Gamestop)
Step 3: Show the game store employee the game along with receipt.
Step 4: Tell game store employee that game is not working properly. *If asked what is wrong with the game, explain to them that it “crashes” ,“freezes”, “and the multplayer areas aren’t accessible” .
That’s all there is to it! It worked for me and I got my full $60 back from Gamestop! Score one for the little guy!
*Some stores may have strict polices about returning a game and may just offer you a new, sealed copy. You do not have to settle for this. Ask to speak with a manager and explain to they what is wrong with the game. Reassure them that you are a loyal customer to their game-store and that you frequently buy games from them. It is not your fault the game isn’t working.
If you purchased the game online, I am so sorry, buy that is a whole different route you’ll have to take to receive a refund. However, I suggest you contact 343 direct, Microsoft, then the BBB.
I’m not understanding the point in all these people starting a forum just to state that they got a refund. Yay for you, don’t post it here. That’s not what these forums are for. I’m holding on to my copy because not only am I a long time, dedicated, non-bandwagon fan of the Halo series, but all the issues will be worked out in due time and when it is you’ll regret taking it back.
