Hey all -
Like you, I tried many different solutions to fix the problem with random crashing during campaign and multiplayer matches. I started looking at the event viewer and noticed the following two messages:
Faulting application name: HaloInfinite.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x619d23d5

And
Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
The fix to this is dialing back the core clock on your graphics card. I lowered mine by -110 using Afterburner and it’s been magic ever since. I don’t see the crazy spikes that were happening before and causing my game to crash.
Give it a try and see if this works for you.
Thanks!

This is it. My 3090 overclock has been “stable” since I got the card a year ago, but apparently not so. Halo Infinite is the first game to consistent crash. Resetting to default clocks and quitting Afterburner appears to fix the crashing. I will try to narrow it down to Core or Memory clocks, or just having Afterburner open.
I’m having this same issue but afterburner did not solve the issue at all… I love this game, but I haven’t been able to play it for months now. I’m running a 3090 and can’t get it to run for even one full match with crashing. I’ve tried downloading from Steam and the Xbox store, as well as updating my drivers. NO LUCK. If anyone has a solution please let me know!!

I play with a 3090, I don’t have it over clocked though and I don’t crash. I did set a frame limit of 140fps as I only have a 120hz screen though.
Have you tried capping the fps?
@Gym_Meathead might be worth a try.
Did you ever manage to find a fix?
I’m right there with you man. I’ve put in days trying every fix imaginable and I still have no luck. Is yours the RVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra? That’s the one I have.
Where did you pull up the event viewer? I can’t seem to find it.
Yeah, it looks like it might be OC related.
I have a STRIX 3090 and Infinite crashes on ANY manual OC. So, I just set it to default in Afterburner (100%, +0MHz, + 0MHz, Auto) and it’s perfectly fine.
It’s been this way since launch for me. Through every game update and Nvidia driver release.
So, I don’t see it changing anytime soon.
Which sucks with Infinite not having DLSS or FSR 2 to improve FPS
