Fix for juggernaut

Hello all I have been looking at juggernaut and i have hopefully gathered enough information to devise a fix for the juggernaut gametype , I’ve noticed in that start of new games like creating a new round or the first round the gametype is the base gametype applying the base settings to the players then proceeds with the Rest of the game , this could be adverted if maybe the juggernaut was chosen say 25 to 30 seconds into the round rather at the start when the game is setting he gametype up? I noticed most gametype with special objective settings are disabled in the start of a new round like safe havens or king of the hill zones etc they are disabled or base settings are applied instead , and since the juggernaut is the objective ,it resets its values or something breaking the settings you have made ,and always applying the gravity hammer >:( that’s just my guess though feel free to suggest your ideas on how to fix this beloved gametype

I don’t even remember the last time I played juggernaut in MM

While I’m all for improving gametypes to make it more enjoyable for players, I don’t any changes will be happening for Juggernaut, as Reach is the last game it’s present in and it’s not receiving any more updates.

I’ve seen them update reach before and I’ve seen People make new game types and have fixed old games types if a player can do it why couldnt 343 take a small amount if Time to fix such a simple problem that’s been in the game since day one ? It seems like child’s play for them now

Reach is going on it’s seventh year this year, and considering it hasn’t be updated since February of 2012, I highly doubt they’d release an update for just one gametype.

I don’t even look at the aspect that this game is seven years old, I keep in mind how 343i intentionally limited features of certain gametypes in Halo: Reach and Halo 4 (Flood), and that is likely the case here. Players who are improving the gametypes are likely modding the gametypes to unlock features that were previously locked by 343i rather than adding to the gametype.

So, it is likely that 343i and Bungie in the case of Juggernaut for simply as Cizlin would say ‘reasons’ locked some of the features for Juggernaut, preventing them from truely being changable in custom games.

I suppose Reach’s age doesn’t make it impossible for it to be update, there’s probably plenty of online games out there that are even older than Reach being updated now; with those games however, there’s still a pretty large active audience playing, which is the scenario I was putting Reach in for an update. Compared to those games, Reach doesn’t currently have the audience that would befinet from 343i to put together an update, instead of putting out an update for Halo 5 or Halo Wars 2.

Reach and it’s gametypes can be updated if 343i would have enough reasoning or incentive to do so. Personally, I would like to see Firefight Doubles return as it was a great way to work with new players to teach them how to play better while earning cR at the same time. When 343i took full control of Halo, they removed it as they thought people were using it to boost cR by having a guest account idle while the main player by doing that would play solo. If you want the equivilant of doubles now, you and a friend (Or the person you want to teach) have to have the Anniversary DLC and set Anniversary Arcadefight search settings to the most strict, which works 90% of the time (The other 10%, other people join)

I also remember alot of people complaining about how the Halo 4 Flood gametype was limited, that you couldn’t give the infected players weapons or certain armor abilities. Personally, I would have loved to have Halo 4 ‘Happy’ Flood with Gravity Hammers, but when it came down to it, 343i locked the options. Same with options to get custom team colors, such as black in gametypes. People had to wait for Ninja Assassins to be released by 343i to have games with truely black armor. Other locked settings were death effects, such as the confetti effect.

A fix for Juggernaut sounds awesome, as having the Juggernaut have weapons other than a gravity hammer sounds awesome. 343i needs an incentive to do so, or enough of the community (Which would be a vast majority) to be on them about it. I know what you mean as well with games older than Reach by other developers being updated. Not too long ago, I think Jon Romero made a new map for Doom if I’m not mistaken. WoW and Runescape is still as active as ever despite being really old and consistently recieving updates.

This is just my opinion, for a solid population to return to Reach, it would need Squad Slayer (5 Vs. 5 Slayer), Team Action Sack, and Firefight Doubles to return, the removal of the Performance Bonus in Grifball (Or having it set to a hard 0 ) to reduce the number of cheaters in Grifball, enabling booting in Grifball (having 5 betrayals be the number), and having ALL options for all gametypes opened for custom games. Free DLC isn’t going to happen, so I won’t even go there. 343i sees more potential in their newer games and seems to ignore the potential of Reach that it still has. A community movement would be needed for any true update to happen to this game.

I feel like reach is active enough to get a update , we had around 10,000 players on last weekend ,and the weekend before that 15,000 this weekend I didn’t keep track lol ,
