OK i have the same problem and here is the fix. It seems to be an issue with the Unreal Engine. Here is what I did to fix the issue…
- Goto Settings.
- Goto Gameplay
- Select Halo 3 in the list
- Turn off NEW SKINS.
Ever since I did that I never got a Fatal Error or Game Crash Again!
