Okay, so after 343 took over I can honestly say they’ve made some good changes, and some bad ones. Foe example: Infection. I like all the new forged maps, but they’ve changed the originals too. Why is the rooftop on Uncaged a Soft Kill Zone? I mean sure, it makes it difficult for the Zombies to win, but not impossible. And where’s Sword Base? I play Infection a lot and haven’t seen it in forever.
And one more thing, please fix the Top Medals, just take First Strike off of them. Yesterday I was playing Spartan Skirmish (Everyone left, it ended being a two on five, me being one of the two.) and I got an Extermination! But at the end, when I checked the stats, I was beat by a First Strike, and a Spawning Spree! Please fix these.
…zombies is what it is, I cant believe you honestly give half of a yoink about zombies because I play it pretty frequently and I dont know if there is a way to approach zombies without being entirely casual fun.
either way, HR is yoinking good the way it is now and I dont really think it needs more updates, the last two im waiting for are:
Rumble pit: Slayer DMRs more frequently
possibly a few seasons of BTB arena or FFA arena
and ZB objectives in MLG/ZB
the game is really, really good. And back to the zombies:
Personally I think zombies shouldnt track stats/medals. This would allow the zombies to play more aggressively and give the humans a more “holy guacamole here comes the flood!!!” kind of feeling. rather than the humans laughing outrageously as master chief shouts from on high “KILLTASTROPHE! KILLPOCALYPSE! KILLIONAIR!!!” and only 30% of the zombies push up while the others try to protect their K/D
Yeah OP it kind of weird you title your thread “Fix Competitive” and you talk about Infected. I suggest a title change. As for the top medals I agree First Strike shouldn’t be in them.
> the game is really, really good.
If the game was so good it would’ve had a warm welcome in the fan-base. It did not.
Op, what you have written is kinda backwards. Zombies is the most casual friendly gametype I’ve ever seen…it literally has no kind of competition involved. It’s just you running around trying to get a kill or shooting people.
I wouldn’t consider that competitive in the slightest.

- reach had a very warm welcome among the fanbase, everyone has had problems with newer installments of halo. In 2005, what would have been considered the “competitive” fanbase of halo CE ABSOLUTELY HATED halo 2. So much in fact that there were several websites dedicated to how much bungie screwed up with the BR and the pistol, not even to mention SMG starts/dual wielding; H2 was professed to be a blight on halo and a casual play ground.
Look at how the fans view halo 2 now.
Reach has a HUGE competitive fanbase, its been active every season of MLG, and I have seen next to 0 people complaining about reach’s mechanics on these/bnet forums during the Post-TU.
I am a huge competitive player, and I absolutely love reach. However, I do recognize that reach (preTU) is easily the worst installment in the franchise. If you have a problem with reach PostTU, you should reassess the game because it is magnificent.
- By “competitive” he means the folder that the social playlists are in. there are “Anniversary, Competitive, CooP, and Community”. It would be better off titled “fix infection”

I was referring to the Competitive playlists, not a competitive kind of game.
