Fix Aim Assist kill MNK

Fixing the experience for gamers on controller should be the first priority. I don’t think any of the traditional halo fan base personally cares about the MnK experience.

If MnK is making it hard to tune the game so that controller players have a good time then just kill MnK. None of the core audience cares and we shouldn’t be catering to new fans at the expense of the player base.

Never gonna happen. Microsoft’s/343i’s bottom line wants PC player money just as much as they want console player money.

problem is MNK players aren’t loyal, they will just play whatever is hot and don’t even care about the campaign.

console players are the proven fan base that have delivered Halo its prestige.

like on one hand you have actually fans who want to buy the game and play it. on the other hand you have some people who are tired of fortnight or whatever is hot and will just hop on free to play

Pure opinion, the only reason many PC players seemed to have broken off from Halo in the past is because they stopped making Halo games for the PC after 2

Step aside console pleb, MnK is here to stay.

dude console gamers dropped halo for call of duty after h3

Look, It’s not worth debating. Halo Infinite’s PC playerbase deserves quality platform and peripheral support just as much as console players do. I agree that the Controller experience should be awesome, but M&K isn’t going anywhere.

As someone who has spent literal hours these past few days on these forums campaigning for a better PC controller experience, no, M&K should not be sacrificed just so controller can feel good. People should be able to use the input they want, and have a good time. A good Controller experience does not and should not mean a bad M&K experience, and vice versa.

lets make a free game with microtransactions and cut off half of our market share. great idea, you are now hired. /s

for some reason when I try controller on the pc it feels like there is zero aim assist when compared to the video of afk streamer. I can do same thing in drills and my reticle doesn’t even move.

Come on OP, don’t talk for everyone when you really mean just you

I’ve been playing since Halo 1 on Xbox and I now primarily play on PC, not to mention Halo 1 has had a huge modding community on PC since it came there in like 2004, don’t pretend there isn’t an established community there just because you’re struggling to aim

And besides, Halo has existed on PC for almost twenty years and the aiming has been fine on Xbox and PC for the same amount of time, you should be asking them to fix it FOR BOTH not just alienate a huge amount of players because you are having a problem, how selfish can you get :’)

Nice bait.

I’ll have you know I played Halo CE on PC back in the day as well as Halo 2 Vista.
Since Halo 3 didn’t get on PC I moved to Xbone.

Nevermind me, where were Xbone players when Halo CE and Halo 2 were basically abandonware and no one plays their MP on early MCC?
That’s right, the modding community kept it alive on the PC.

Not loyal lmao.

To be fair… whilst I don’t share these views of the OP. I completely understand how it came to this point.

I was happy to have the mnk community boost the population of the game I love. However my eyes have been recently opened to the hostilities from at least parts of the mnk community towards controller players.

It appears a significant number of the mnk community who find it unfair to vs controller players do not seem content to just opt to use the filter to vs mnk only. They actively are trying to change the experience of the controller players because they feel that their hard earnt aiming skills on mnk make them entitled to put controller players in their place for their “inferior input method” and because we’ve been cheating all these years.
Yet their “disadvantage” is very easy for them to opt out of, though this change they push for is something the controller players are completely unable to opt out of.

Furthermore it seems very obvious that regardless of how this beta played out that the forums were going to be filled with angry rants of how unfair aim assist is for mnk. Being that mnk were complaining well before they realised how factually bad the AA was in the beta.

Whilst I understand this does not reflect the entire mnk community… you have to at least understand people protesting back. Luckily it is apparent that there are strong views apposing this change. For that I am grateful.

Making aim feel comfortable and fluid on the controller is not mutually exclusive to a good experience on mnk.

Aim assist should be tuned to a level where controller players have a similar level of precision to an mnk user. This can be understood by monitoring the performance over the whole community and ensuring there are mixed ability groups at all level of play.

Yes, sorry to the mnk users but this does mean a healthy dose of aim assist.

You’re stating your opinion as if it’s fact.

Seems a strange and entitled mentality. Try to be more considerate, objective and open minded.
