Fix AI?

Campaign AI is just completely bonkers.
First off, the marines and noble team are more then useless, they do literally NOTHING, they constantly kill me, get in my way, or drive a warthog i parked so i could gun without being in the center of the action(IE, Being killed)

Next up, the enemy.
They have the most unfair advantages of all time.
Grunts and jackals can now fire charge shots in less then a second, then start firing normal IMMEDIATELY with ZERO cooldown.

Elites dodge WAAAAAY too often, making it damn near impossible to actually hit them, i’m ok with the occasional dodge, but when all they’re doing is dodge shooting(shooting while they dodge) it’s impossible.

Second.
Fix the sight thing, where if you get shot while in a sight it kicks you out.
It is annoying as -Yoink- when im trying to counter snipe this -Yoink!- jackal/skirmisher and every single little thing that so much as breathes on me, kicks me out of my scope, completely -Yoinking!- everything up.

Keep this feature in Multiplayer though, it seems to balance things out.

Remove scope kick-out when shot.

Now, 343, since you are in charge of halo now, i hope you will listen to my plea for help and consider some changes.

Unfortunately, OP, all public information about the Halo engine suggests that these fixes are impossible to make after the game has been released. Best we can hope for is that these issues don’t remain in Halo 4. :\

While I don’t disagree with you, the chances of 343i changing or fixing anything with Reach are slim to none at this point.

I agree, for Noble Team. When I was on Sword Base when I did solo legendary, just before the part when you have to destory the banshees, there was a very annoying elite who I could lay a finger on. Jorge was there, with his Machine gun turrent. It was like he wasent even there- he, also, could’nt lay a finger on that elite, even though he was fully capable of it. And there was a Marine, who wasnt doing anything, but I won’t think he could do much harm to the elite anyway :P.

Also, I noticed when I was doing the first misson (on legendary) Kat could shoot her Magnum at the speed of light, but was basically useless. I agree, they should have been a bit more powerful.

As for elites and jackels, etc. I think there fine as they are. I only think Elite AIs are overpowered on legendary.

But, all this is worth it when you have a needle rifle :smiley:
Whip out your needle rifle at Noble Team, if your lucky, they will Armor lock at the same time. At elites, they evade all around and stuff.

I find it quite funny to watch highly trained Spartans and Elites panic when you fire a needle rifle at them. Even more Lols if you have the Tough Luck skull on: Enemy AIs will dive left and right, trying to save themselves from the needle rifle.

But, yes, Elite AI’s are INSANELY overpowered. Anything beyond a Major is practically invincible.

Elite Ultras are the worst. It took me 17 shots to take one out, Legendary. (I think i mixed up body shots and headshots, but if it was only headshots,and I may have missed a few, not sure, you have a point.)
I was not a happy person when I had to stop, reload, then finsh him.

They may not be able to change the AI drastically, but i am Certain they can nerf it a bit.

Seriously, Elites NEED to be nerfed.

Well, Halo 4 is there main project now, so I doubt it. But AIs fall for Holograms, so this can be used to your advantage, if used the right way. Very nice for legendary runs.

In the campgin, Jorge’s weapon is a detached Machine gun turrent. If you were to go in to forge, under human weapons, you will find “Machine gun turrent” or something. You can place it down and use it. Or, with default controls, you press RB ( Right Bumper) To detatch it. That is what Jorge uses in Campgin.

My god, legendary is supposed to be Hard, it was on the other games, now, on Reach, Elites are sooo -Yoinked!- up, their AI, is UNBELIEVABLY SMART and the Marines AI makes a team of rocks a better option than actually having said marines.

Scary and not dumb, theres a point when its impossible to actually effectivly combat these guys where it borders.

I really would love to know what mission you play consistantly on legendary where elites are ‘Ok’ ?

I guess its more or less the dumbness of the friendly AI, if it was smarter, legendary wouldn’t be -Yoinking!- impossible, just really hard, AS its always been.

“Turrent” isn’t even a word. It’s TURRET
